i know this isn't FFXIV related but how about this game

the FFXI cellphone remake.
But Dragon Quest X is confirmed to be coming to the Switch.... Last I recall that is an MMO. Not saying FFXIV is appropriate for Nintendo Switch, but the argument on online games not being on mobile. Actually, DQ10 is even on the 3DS.
That would certainly be neat to show up on Switch. Not sure how expansive Nexon is however.
Guys, Switch will probably never "hold down" anything. PS3 problem was RAM, and Switch is at least 8 times better in that aspect.
Hmm.. Let's cut the Switch some slack..
The Switch doesn't have...
1) A optical drive.
2) A hard drive.
3) 3 year old components.
I mean, just those two things will reduce the size by a lot.
The specs are a concern, though, especially when we're finally getting rid of the PS3 and SE and Nintendo are both Japanese based so I don't think it's unlikely that SE knew about the Switch and even considered FFXIV themselves.
To be honest. I would rather support the Switch even if it meant being "limited" by another console again.
Why?
Because, genius, PS3 and PS4 are alongside each other in terms of community but with the Switch we would be welcoming the Nintendo community. I'm all about a larger community.
Ya.. The PS3 had 512mb of RAM....
Oh sorry, but still 8 times better if the rumors are correct, because Switch will have 4GB.
I don't think it would be limiting, maybe graphically - but Nintendo fans doesn't really care about graphics and would love some Final Fantasy on their consoles, especially a good one like this.
We don't know a lot about the Switch to say anything concrete. That said, even if it has more RAM, there is no evidence that the OS itself uses less/more RAM. Then, we also don't know that if RAM is not a problem that something else will be the new bottleneck (GPU/CPU etc.)
I think the most important thing to consider is that the dev team would need to develop the game for 3 OS's vs just two, meaning we'd get less content for the same amount of work/time given by the devs. Personally, I'd rather them not add Nintendo Switch support and give us more stuff, than waste time/resources on developing a Switch client at the expense of content.
well this is confirm for the switch
dragon quest x raid
so why can't FFXIV be on it also?
