Well that is a silly argument.
If a DPS healed, then the run would go slower and the group would be at a detriment. If the Healer DPS'd then the run would go faster and would be overall better for the group.
Do you ever ask your tank to stop attacking and just spam flash, because dealing damage is not his job? The idea is rather absurd.

As for me, well I never tell a healer off for DPSing, I just assume that they are either lazy or bad. It's possible they are neither, but that is all I think. I mean I probably equate it to a healer seeing a DPS never dodging AoE's, that DPS is probably lazy or bad.

Of course you're right. As WHM I always study timers and rotation to use in best way Saints of Shroud and Assize to restore my MP alone.. but they have a CD and after a long fight I need just a little of MP to cover me until have again SoS/Assize a Song is always a good stuff.. if you dont prefer a wipe ahah

Does anyone else usually not have these experiences? When I'm on my tank, I never get complaints. When I'm on my healer, I never get complaints. When I'm on my DPS, I'm watching YouTube. It seems there's a lot of venting, but I don't know why.

Yes I am. Probably the laziest person you know. Sometimes I'm so lazy that I don't even log in and let my eso uncapped. So what? This is not a competition about "who takes the playtime more seriously", it's about wheter or not people should harass healers who don't DPS (be it because the pulls are difficult to heal, be it due to their skill level, or even just laziness).

And in the moment you turn on cleric stance, one of the DPS jobs get a huge hit because he ignoed an aoe and you can't heal him up with just one heal because of clearic stance cool down.

Healers are rightfully expected to dps if they are able to.

That said, if the dps was already terrible, they have no right to demand anything.

Their fault, not the healer's in that circumstance, healer was still playing their part.

I mean if you want a real answer from me, my answer is:

if it's a dungeon run or a DF run (aka not a raid or PF with a set goal etc).... if no one's dead and nothing is chewing my face I couldn't care LESS if the tank was DPS stance or if the healer stood there and took a nap. Dungeon run takes an hour? Fine, if we actually finish. I don't care.
