Required rank on all gear

thank you, i always thought that gear was something you should earn with rank/lvl. its insulting for rank 1 to wear the same gear as 50.

I guess SE agree with most of us the Optimal rank is not the way to go at least the made gear would still be allow to be used at any level. Then any new gear would have a level limit put on it sound very good i like this. this is also one of the idea i said a few post back i guess SE really thought about it also.

lol after reading all these responces saying that optimal rank was great and pointing out the others were wrong and such, the dev just crushed their dreams XD , got to love this hehe

No one said Optimal rank was the ONLY way to go, the system could have been salvaged and made to work properly. Though you clearly didn't read this well enough as they said all optimal gear is being phased out. Only the old recipes will create optimal gear and those are going to be removed eventually too. All new recipes make rank required gear.

Personally, don't give a damn either way. I supported the more innovative and unique system that could have been made to work exceptionally well on principle alone. It doesn't bother or affect me much that we're going to all required because I followed the ranks on the gear anyway.

Would it be possible to get some sort of reasoning as to why the devs are making this decision? Personally, I'm rather disappointed that they're completely doing away with the optimal rank feature (though I'll deal with it, I suppose...) as it seems like it would be easy enough to have both optimal and required rank gear coexist.

I'll also add that while I haven't entirely agreed with every change that has been made or proposed so far, this is the only one that I disagree with enough that I'd consider it to be a negative decision - though, of course, I also realize that this is only my personal opinion. Still, I'd be curious to know why the decision was made the way it was.

You may followed it but it hard when no one selling the gear for your level due to craft not making them and what people say you should do about it? level up craft o.o why should i level all the craft just to make myself gear? that more work then i should do then by me level up all the craft mean that i wont ever buy gear from the ward and craft wont make profit so it affect everyone but they don't care as long as they can wear the gear they think look good on there char. Like i said if you want to RP you could come up with a system that your underwear can have the look of any gear in game.
