I did say that hq'ing items is where the money is. I did not say that having a high level crafter was needed. I can hop on a r25 goldsmith and hq brass nuggets and make a couple mil on a stack.

Yes but if you would listen for one second you would realize not point was better for this convo. . All i am saying is crafts did not have a limit before. (keep up) now if they put in a limit or a mastery you are now locked out of all other classes. which means you have a LIMIT to what classes you can craft.
You said if its just a mastery thing then you choose one class. but if you have the other classes leveled they will be LIMITED (keep up) compared to other classes. what is so hard to get. If i choose to main BSM and i also have GLD on rank 50 then my GLD is limted compared to someone who main GLD. So i will have to seek a GLD rank 50 for his "mastery" when i already have a rank 50 GLD???? thats silly thats a LIMT
WOOSH right over YOUR head because im not asking to use swords on a CON. I am asking to use mastery on CON THM and MRD if i rank them to 50
your statement contains false information as you don't know exactly what "most" people did. I was moderately broke because I would spend all of my money on random crap that I didn't need. I didn't make money from HNMs. I made my gil from fishing and crafting and I never once lost gil from doing either one. It was all profit. The "big" money was in HQ crafting, yes, at times, but you still didn't have to be level 100 in a craft to make comparable gil. For instance, back when I played, a Jupiter staff was 200k and the mats for it were around 100k to buy them all. If he didn't HQ any of them, he would be out around 50k a synth (Thunder staff was around 50k at this time). Now if he crafted 3, only 1 was HQ, that means he broke even. This isn't good money at all. Fishing? Pure profit. I spend 5k for a lure, walk home with 117k worth of fish...at level 18. At level 90, I use that same lure that I had been using for months and walk home with 217k worth of fish. For cooking, insect paste cost me..what...100gil to make? 1-2k a stack? Pure profit. Shihei? Farmed most of my materials so they only cost me around 500gil to make...and what..6k a stack? Profit. IMO, it was the high level crafters that were the dumb ones. They pumped out gear after gear and sure, you would occasionally pull in a HQ that would net you 6mil, but you also have to account for the gil that you lost while making nothing but NQs...and really, there isn't much profit there.
1) you dont need to have a high craft to earn money
having a high craft only gives you more options
having more then 1 high craft gives you even more options
2) being told you cant make something because you dont have that specific mastery will not limit what we can make money off of, if anything itl enhance what is worth what. since you have to willfuly choose that mastery and you cant have them all, and neither can anyone else.
3) it probly wont limit anything we can make now, if anything itl limit what we can make in the future, specificaly special items i bet that will require some sort of mastery
in the end, yes, i have 6 crafts at 50, will this affect me? oh hell yes it will. but guess what, i will live. and i will choose which mastery will best suit what i wanna do. and i will be happy with the ability to make that choice as it will put more diversity between the players who do play like i do and rank everything up
