Any materia will work. But lower grade will require more alexandrite.

To make novus, you need to meld 75 stats from materia

We know how materia work it's is a worse rng then atma, ontop of that all this system does is incourage players to buy gil, and spend monmey on gil sellers. We all see the bots endlessly spiritbonding all day this whole quest is just raising both in game money and real life money for the gil sellers. It to me feels like SE got paid on the side by gil sellers.

can u put +75 of one stat? like 75crit?

It is always funny to see a game that complains heavily about RMT(by them stating how happily they're banning accounts), fail to put in some of the simplest measures to help report said RMTs, and then implement mechanics that heavily favor RMT.

Damn o.O Did RMT use the money they earmed from n00bz buying t5 to bribe SE?

Don't worry. The guys selling 20x Materia III and IV at once for different kind of Materia are surely only really, really busy regular players. :p
