The Loporrits don’t seem to possess a level of creation magic that could threaten things that much, the biggest threat they’ve created was the Big Cheese. They had strict rules about it after all.

The various side quests in the region make it clear that things would get very out of hand if not for the presence of the player character cleaning up the mess left behind by the Lopporits and their antics. I also wouldn't really consider the near destruction of the moon itself to be a 'minor' affair. If the moon broke apart, not only would that cause mass panic amongst the inhabitants of Etheirys, the debris would likely plummet into the planet itself. Assuming tides work the same way on Etheirys as they do in our world, then that'd be another angle of concern.

As an aside, it's odd that Smileton was planned to be a 'perfect paradise' for the Sundered. It would seem that she didn't even tell her own creations of the danger she believed the pursuit of perfection would bring about.

I find it a little odd how heavily people lean into the brainwashed Hermes as being such a huge obstacle to telling the Convocation about the Final Days when the immediate important factor was that a dynamis-induced apocalypse is coming, not that it's being instigated by someone's rogue creation or that the entire universe outside of Etheriys is probably dead.

It's not as though she couldn't stretch the truth a little in order to deflect suspicion away from him, plus the Elpis flowers existed both as proof of dynamis as a concept and as a way to measure its effects.

It was meant as a failure state if humanity couldn’t defeat Meteion. At that point the plan failed and all you can hope for is someone to come up with another solution or simply hide. Not to mention the very pursuit of perfection and happiness gave rise to the Big Cheese, which reflects Endwalkers narrative.

And are we really comparing the danger of knowing about Meteion, Zodiark and Hydaelyn to the Big Cheese? It’s a dungeon boss that came about after they tried to renovate post Endwalker, and the biggest issue would have been the moon being made uninhabitable. Not exactly universe ending.

Also the issue isn't Fandaniel being suspected by others - it's him putting two and two together, figuring out that the universe is dead and empty outside of Etheriys, and that his beloved creation wants to bring sweet death to everyone and everything he knows.

Also he is the one who ends up pinpointing where the final days will occur next, without his counsel there is a chance that any solution wouldn't be as effective.

Ah, yes, the evil Loporrits. Now this is truly an interesting line of reasoning. I too am upset at them for their immoral behavior towards delicious carrots.

Loporrits superficially resemble lalafell. This makes them evil by default.

Are you kidding? Perfectly healthy animals are destroyed on a daily basis. Those 'feel good' stories you see on sites like The Dodo about special needs animals are extremely rare. People by and large want to adopt healthy and young animals. It's difficult for senior pets to even find homes.
