Dragoons: A Rotation Reborn

^^ I'm an engineer and just brute forced the hell out of this with a VBA script in excel. It runs through every single possible armor combination there is in my database and picks the global maximum of DPS weight while equal to or above the acc requirement i enter. But I do like your approach, would of saved me some time if I thought about it from that perspective initially. Script usually takes about 30 seconds to a minute on this machine to go through it all. However with every new piece of gear I add I double the amount of combinations by two and depending on a whole lot of things could multiply the calculation time to who knows hahah.

Edit. In between every gear set possibility I apply the food buffs to the current set and do my rounding (flooring). It should be pretty accurate provided the game doesn't have any weird order of operation/rounding/truncation rules

Ahh I thought there was some parsing being done to try to lower what our accuracy cap really is. Was the testing you were asking for earlier in the thread at 463 with food buff or without? I interpreted it as without. I remember reading somebody tested at 459. Was that pre or post acc food buff?

That was without. Since we don't know the exact ceiling for T5, but we do know it is 473 or less, the idea for now is to have the lowest possible accuracy on your gear for the other 95% of the game that doesn't require high accuracy, while still being able to hit ~472 as needed for T5 (though the ceiling is likely lower than this). Hence getting 463 with gear alone, then using the +2% accuracy from food to bump that up to 472 for T5 as needed.

Wow, I thought acc cap was in the 480s for T5. That's great news. I'm at 470 w/o food right now, but don't have any alternate gear options at the moment. Guess I'll try to avoid extra accuracy for a while.

The discussion regarding the ~480 cap began on page 101, and parses have been posted sporadically since then. We're currently trying to narrow the cap down, but it's definitely between 460-470.

Ran it at 466 Accuracy using Button Mushroom Sautes to reach 472 accuracy, less overall stat weight score than the 476 set which was using Buttons in Blanket. Not even worth it.

The set has 465 accuracy, indeed. I was meant to say "aiming" for 463 accuracy. Was typing this post whilst raiding, not a good idea ahaha! That's also why it took me forever to post it >_<
