The tweet is still up, and was made 3 years ago, so it could be arguable that he has learned and knows better; however, from just a quick search on twitter for the sake of a quick reply, I couldn't find any such tweet as such. People can make mistakes or not know things, but the important thing is to learn and improve, to actually take the steps. I'd also say with the size of a following someone like him has, people like that should very visibly and publically make improvements. Searching "pronouns" from asmon shows no such thing, even if he's had it buried in a stream somewhere.
It's still transphobia, but I believe the term is moreso microagression. As someone in multiple LGBTQ communities, the general consensus is that "people are free to be who they want and fighting with eachother when we have more important things to handle in regards to our status in society achieves nothing". It's like how transphobic tendencies in the Olympics recently led to the ban of some cis women for how their bodies are.
Edit: Yeah, no, I don't think you condone stuff. Apologies if this feels targeted! I'm just trying to do my best to help people get a cool head on their shoulders and understand things from a broader perspective, definitely not here trying to throw accusatory fingers.
