Hunts are hands down the single fastest path to relic advancement. Other than that, most of what I've been doing is roulettes, beast tribe dailies, and EX primal/Coil carries for tomes. I've done a bit of Alex here and there, but not a flat-out grind.

I do all my roulettes daily (other than pvp), two beast tribes given they are the only ones i have leveled, S Hunts mostly in addition to some A's from time to time. I've also done quite a few ex primal and coil carries whenever I have the opportunity.

..no, I'm actually pretty sure you just have WAY more time after all xD
I do daily roulette about three times a week + a handful of Alex. No time for something like hunts, carries, or even more dailies (when I most of the time don't even manage to finish half of my daily roulette!).
Just to do the things you listed everyday, one would have to be online several (as in 2 or more) hours a day. Many people can only play during the weekend. Others like me log in everyday, but as soon as they sign up for some duty, real life calls again already.

Just accept that some people will regard you as a no-lifer! ;)
Simply because even finishing ONE relic takes more time, no matter how well you "manage" it, than many of us can or want to put into a game.

Crystals = 3-3-0-0-1-1
Unidentified = 1-14-20-4
Crafted = 4-4-4-4

I think I'll be able to get 210 just before 3.2 hits.

Calling someone who can spend 2 hours each day in game a no-lifer doesn't make sense. Yeah some people can only log in on the weekend and maybe for a few hours, but to think people that actually put aside at least 1-2 hours each day to do content in game a no-lifer just makes me think you don't know what the word means.

I don't know, I've been doing daily roulettes (50s and main for the poe + expert) and BTs (Sylph, Kobold and Amaljaa) pretty much every day and I still don't have enough for one relic. So you must be doing a LOT of hunts.

I managed to finish my relic doing nothing but beast tribes and roulettes. Currently working on my second in a much more casual manner since I really don't need it right now, and the time cost of the anima will likely be reduced in future patches.

@ Nekotee, blm is the first Relic i am working on and i agree no ss is rather a wth moment but once they release gear that we can add materia to (non crafted gear) then the weapon will be of better use.

That's not a bad point...
I might choose to do the Blm staff (which is kind of pretty) after all...
Plus 3.2 will see a lot of new stuff + crafted one... So the spellspeed problem might be solved

I reach around 700 spellspeed and Fire I is still 2.36 cast...
I miss my 2.25 from ARR !

Still 60/80 for my deneb...
A little more and I could start my third for the Blm !

Glad i have been saving up ss materia.

And to the topic of Relic i have basically just been doing Roulettes, dungeons and ALL the Beast Tribes every day. Most Relics are not very good at the moment so there is no real rush

I just finally hit double digits on the unidentifiable mats last week. I've spent more time grinding Thordan weapons, leveling WAR and managing my FC than doing the relic, since the MCH one isn't so useful for me yet. I started the DRK one as well, but I'm unmotivated to fate farm for crystals again so soon.

I can't promise I'll stick this one out. I noped out of the Zeta pretty early and was just fine. I don't feel too much of an imperative to push for this relic either.

Yeah true...
Same I have a huge stack of ss materia of all sort (leveling all caster with crafted stuff help)
Roulette and tribes... Easiest way to have it (i mean with ARR tribes 5 token in 5 day is not that bad)

Plus wyvern/dragon maps helps a lots (got 10 out of 80 token for my tetrabiblos from map)
And hunt... If fast enough XD

I just finished my Dark knight relic today and can't say I want to do another one at this moment I grinded for a week and a half with dailies + A1 & 4 farming it was a pain in the ass (was more chores than anything really but eh). I just wonder what the next step has I hope it's not materia farming with alexandrite....oh god no please.

I'm currently at 44/80 for Anima #2—it should be 47/80 after Roulettes today. I'm not in a hurry on this one, though, because I don't really know which weapon I'm going to actually make. I have several of the Awoken weapons, but I don't really know which of my alt-jobs I'm going to focus on the most for 3.2. It...sort of depends on which of the tomestone gear sets I like best because...glamours motivate me to play a job more than anything else (except of course for my main).

I was, yes. If you prioritize ARR hunts over everything, it's very fast progress. I'd do beast tribe quests between hunts, then do roulettes or try to pop S ranks when there was some downtime (since A ranks are on a 3 hour cycle there usually is a lull when none are up). I mostly ignored Heavensward hunts aside from S ranks because they take a long time to kill and don't give Allied Seals.

Finished 3 weeks ago.

People keep looking at grind content the wrong way, saying " Oh its too much,I 'll never finish, raid is better" etc.

You DONT NEED to be insane enough to do Alex only for the items. It's horrible.

You can basically finish the unidentified grind in 1 month, 2-3 weeks if you're lucky with treasure maps (7 shells, 3 ores for me. Ty based RNGeesus).

As much as people are loathe to admit it, Hunts are fastests, since you get Laws, Poetics and Seals all in one.

Also, beast tribes help a ton. Do 5 days of beast tribes, bam, one of each.

Don't rush it, just do a bit of everything every day and you'll be done.

77/80 and after dailies tomorrow, I'll be at 79 with a two choices: wait it out or do A2 seven more times. And I really don't like A2.

13/80. I intended to stay farming Poetics and Law with Roulette and easy dungeon as Qarn HM and Pharos Sirius HM, but my adsl seems very unstable this week. Several dc today while doing roulette and I gave up. Then for now I will stay only with beast tribe quests.

Currently at about 68/80 and have 3/4 HQ items needed. Just need an Alch that isnt going to rob me when I provide mats =/

Edit: By that I mean want like 1 mil when I offer the mats HQ'd

63/80 so far, will buy the items once I have all of the unidentified items.

Man, I am so far behind. I'm 24/80 and I haven't look for any HQ items yet.

I finished for DRK, now I'm grinding out Excalibur and Aegis Shield Zeta to level Paladin. Because my tank glamour doesn't work with any Paladin weapon but those.

Not far at all. I've had a bit of lack of motivation after having been grinded out in here BEFORE the relic came.

Finally finished mine. Went the slow option of mostly beast tribe quests, a few purchased with tomes and a few from maps.

Plus, with it taking so long, I was able to craft all the items myself.

Stop shoehorning crafting, and i'll care about it eventually.

31/80 at the moment with none of the HQ items yet.

Should've been 10 items of 4 different types instead of 20 each. This was a tad ridiculous.

I took this long to get 20/80, I'm now at a point where I don't know what weapon I actually want but I still have some months of collecting shells and sh*t to think about that anyway.

53/80. I've been taking it pretty slow, but the fact that I can do the CT weekly before I even reach the next stage means that I'll probably have the next stage already done when I get to it. Maybe I'll even be completely caught up before the next stage in 3.3.

I just started gathering crystals on my AST and have 26/80 unidentifiables. :(

47/80 items, already got the HQ stuff as well.

For those currently working on your relic but not at 210 yet, go ahead and start doing the CT weekly quest. The new item there is for the 230 part of the relic and you do NOT need to even have a relic to get the item. You need 5 in total so good chance you'll have all 5 by the time you are ready to hit 210.

Ahhh the return of this thread. Currently at 2/5 on my Oils. Really happy to see some life in CT again.

I AM SO EXCITED TO SAY THAT I FINALLY GOT MY BEAUTIUFL ANIMA WEAPON!!! ToT
She is so glorious.
It took me MONTHS to save up enough to buy all the mats for the HQ crafted Items! And thanks to the help of my amazing FC I was able to get them crafted!!

Now I can start my journey on the next phase of the Anima weapon, along with my Deneb! <3

XD well at least I can farm poetics while finishing up leveling my bard in the mean time. XD still sad my blm relic wont have spell speed yet though. X.X

Still stuck on step 3 but have 61/80 xD just taking my time not gonna rush.

Missing one unidentifiable piece right now. A shell. Once I get that damned shell I can go and get my ilvl 210 weapon... And then get the remaning oils, as I am 3/5 currently. :) Slowly and steadily. Even though I am gonna use it as a glamour, still worth the effort!

I already have a 200 ilevel SCH Anima but slowly building another. Buyer's remorse you see... 15/18 crystals, around 27 u-items, 0 crafted items and 1 Aether Oil so far. Slow but steady! :D I don't want to spend my items on any of the current relic stages because they don't match my glamours, but I'm going to get one of the very final forms once they are out.
