We're always receiving responses as of why such and such thing can't be implemented because of server space, so I really hope that other kind of QoL features (like a FC calendar or a longer FC message, among other things) are really implemented before this, as you seem to imply.

Keep it healthy yourself, or don't use the feature. Why is it a "horrible" idea, because you think that people are going to pay for this game just to write bad things in your guestbook? If people really are going to write bad things in your guestbook a lot, maybe you should report them for harassment or disable the feature. Some people I'm sure would like the idea, myself included.

Currently we can know if a visitor has tend our plants by viewing the activity log.
It would be great if it logs access for the house as well,
I think it could log the same player for only one time in a period similar as tend logging.

At least, please implement a visitor log. ^^

I am saying...

1) You would be surprised what people will spend money on, simply to grief others on the internet.
2) A system to "keep it healthy yourself" would be a LOT of development work with abilities to moderate your guestbook. This dev time could easily be better utilized with something else for housing.

I have a few suggestions.

• Allow the ability to reclaim items when a house is demolished
• Allow the Allagan Seating modules to be dyed (just the tron lines not he whole thing like the dragoon augmented gear)
• Allow more things to be dyed period
• Increase the limits for stuff like the Diagnostic Module
• More Allagan themed furniture
• Levathan, Shiva and Ramuh themed decorations (not sure if that already happened with Ramuh)
• Some paintings of the Scions, adventurer's guild leaders, etc

I love the idea of a guestbook. If the FC or player is of such a kind that they expect many nasty comments, they don't have to place it in their house in the first place. And for the general troll guest comments, I find it a decent idea to be able to delete any comments you don't approve of, much like you would on a blog or other social internet media.
For the most time, I reckon the comments won't be as offensive as some people fear.

Take the 1 garden plot restriction away from small houses and 2 plot restriction away from medium houses.... ridiculous to limit the gardens considering all the stuff needed for stables alone.

So, what part of the dev post did you not understand? Was it the part where he said that other tasks have a higher priority at the moment? So it's not coming out soon?

Also keeping it healthy yourself probably isn't that hard. You could probably just, I dunno, not have one?

There was another (I guess confusing) part of the dev post advising this is a furnishing. So you'd have to make one. And place it. Manually. Yourself. Unless you no-more-nails that thing to the floor, I guess you can remove it too if it's too much trouble :)

Please allow us to use our personal aetheryte like the other ones dotting the zone
Please allow "exit goblet, mist etc" as a feature of the aetherytes
Please add a cooldown timer view at a glance for fertilizing in the garden

How about... I don't know... not having a guestbook in your room? Seems like a radical idea, I'm sure, but it might just be effective at keeping the toxic comments away.

Just to note, Leviathan's Barb can be made into a fountain (I think my FC has one of these in fact) and Ramuh drops two grades of lightning orb that can be made into lamps (similar to how Garuda drops both Garuda Feather and Vortex Feather.)

Teacups, all I want are teacups for my lovely tea house. It's a very sad sad place without teacups :(

I like the inclusion of the tatami mat and open hearth but would like to see a futon too (Japanese style, not western please!) as my room seems bare without one. A double bed is all well and good but doesn't fit the look I'm wanting.

How about...

An "Account" bound Shared-storage box you can place in your private house.
Where you can share items/gear & gil with current extra characters on same account?
(Obviously, gear & weapons that have 0% spiritbond)

- The box dosent have to have full 100+ slots, 10 slots would be sufficient.

This has been mentioned numerous times but a Free Company retainer.

1) A desk/counter bell that summons the retainer. Retainer has normal storage space and sells 25 items.
2) Master/Assigned ranks have access to retainer settings: "Storage/Deposit" and "Shop".
3) Storage/Deposit setting: Select any current item in the market put it on a Storage List. Members that have items on list can Deposit item to the retainer and it will be added to the retainers stock to sell.
4) Shop settings: Set prices for items and option to sell to FC members or to general public.

Example: You get a retainer, put up potash/coke/choco food/etc. as your Storage item list. Set up Shop to sell items to FC members only at a lower price than the market. Members get mats from dungeons, deposit them to retainer, crafters buy them, other members raising choco's buy what they need, and gil goes to funding FC.
I know a system like this can be abused but would like a positive build on it to make it work :)

Can we please make our personal housing aetherytes our free aetherytes?

It seems that the design of XIV is to allow the game to be playable by both casuals and hard-core gamers alike. If you add the ability to have one or two gardening pots in Personal Chambers, it'll allow more casual players to be able to take part in gardening yet still leave owning a personal house viable for the gardening plot of land. What do you think?

I would like it if we could set another FCs aetherite as a favored destination. This way if you have a friend that does not live in the same ward as you, visiting their home/chambers would be much easier. This would also bring more people to the wards. This would be something each fc could give permission to of course to prevent abuse.

Not sure if this has been said and not looking through the pages...but I would like to be able to kick someone out of my private chambers when my chamber goes private. It is very awkward when I don't want someone in there and they afk all night.

I don't know about anyone else, but for me, there are quite a few dungeons where I turn up the music. For example, Tam Tara Deepcroft, and The Lost City of Amdapor. I think it would be rather awesome if a furnishing could be implemented where we can attune the music playing in our private chambers, to the music playing in these dungeons. I could go a step further and suggest that sheet music be implemented as a rare drop from dungeons in order to play this music, but I know that would be harder to implement.

Either way, I'd love to be able to set the mood of my private chambers to fit -me-!

Tried to figure out if Dev has replied to this. I believe item limits is the biggest issue for FC housing. There are many featured and item requests. Without increasing the item limit, there is nothing much you can do. I feel the pain for mansion. 150/30 for medium housing is too low also.

Please increase the item limit on all houses.

or at least reply us if there is a plan or not.

- Ability to remodel the default stairways/pillars/trim.
- Partitions that automatically match the wallpaper? or just new partitions.
- Timer for time left until plants are harvestable.
- Ability to get on top of Mansion roofs :( the view is awesome up there! sadly only mansions have this problem.

3. A moogle postman (or any kind of profession Moogles were able to do)
4. A MB placed inisde the house (i'm pretty sure all lazy peeps agreed)
5. A praetorium style Magitek hangar
6. Wall mounted Garlean magitek armor suits replica! ( as a trophy of Gaius, Juiva, Nero, and Rhystatyn )
7. Every single Moogles furnitures eithers its a chair, table, desk, bed, bookshelf, partition, lamp!
8. Odin styled Ultima Weapon "scraps"
9. Wall mounted Twintania's head

Ability to remove/hide lights

Possibility for an FC to drop an item as a gift to another FC when visiting their house.

I know we can send an item via mog to someone in the FC but it's not same as giving it as a gift to all members that could see a note in the FC log that a gift was made by another FC.

I dunno if it's been mentioned before (I'm sure it probably has) but can we please get a wallpaper that's just a single, solid, dyeable color?

Crazy patterned wallpapers are nice and all but I'd really like a solid color...

I would like a gardening house. Big room, lots of space. Maybe buy a room like a private chamber but cheaper and only you can give permission to certain people to help tend to your plants.

Could we set alarms on our chronometers? I'd like to be able to set a time (Eorzean time) to be alerted while I'm in the house caught up in other things like crafting. It would be extremely helpful to get to the hidden nodes on time. :)

Also, I know I've already mentioned this, but while I'm on the topic of clocks--Could you please make a cuckoo clock that has a chocobo that comes out and kwehs every hour? It would be so cute!

Here's some more furnishing suggestions!
I don't need a lot of functionality in these, they just need to look good.

(Indoor Furnishings)
- A Magic Pot, as in the creature in Labyrinth of the Ancients and on the Isles of Umbra. A lamp, statue, or the real thing, whatever it takes.
- A wastebasket. This was one of the first furnishings that one could obtain in FFXI, or at least one of the first I got.
(Tabletop)
- A set of red wax candles. Similar to the ones found throughout Tam-Tara Hard Mode.
(Wall-mounted)
- A framed adventurer's certificate.
- A group portrait of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn.
- Grand Company recruitment posters, using the designs from the Lodestone posts about the GCs.
- An Imperial propaganda flier, possibly in two flavors: original and defaced.
(Rugs)
- A bearskin rug. We have bears now, and their pelts go great in front of fireplaces.

I only have one crafting class to 50 and have not obtained any master recipie book yet so I may be missing out one some furniture (I don't know if they have any), but I am struggling to find a decent flooring. More carpet options would be great.

master recipe doesnt effect your housing furniture recipe. You get all housing furniture recipe as a lvl 1 crafter, you just cant make most of em because you dont have enough stats required

Just got my small house (solo FC) and kinda disappointed at the limited exterior "furnishings" available. Really like to see things like a Koi pond with 2-3 fish swimming around, trees and bushes that flower based on the in-game season. Other "natural" landscaping options (not a fan of the game themed monuments, striking dummies, etc) - I'd love to just have a nice garden.

Being able to set your home point to your personal room. Would be an extra incentive to have a personal room and be great for people who miss having their mog house as their home point in ffxi.

Would very much want:
Not being kicked out of the house and room upon logging/exiting duty.
Able to customize the vendors' gear.
A watering can that can water an entire garden at once.
Better visibility on the gardens so people can know that a plant needs watering or can be fertilized without actually clicking. Like if it hasn't been tended recently, have it grow weeds or the soil looks baked. If it's been fertilized, make it slightly sparkly or something.

Just a quick mock-up... I hate managing menus, and I like to see more information at a glance. Having the orange rank number to show capped xp really isn't enough for me. I'd like to see the entire xp bar without having to right-click into the details. I'd also like to see at a glance who's got that purple choco, and maybe mouse-over something to see that it's actually Gloom Purple.

I want more alchemy supplies/science supplies. I really want my personal house/FC room to look as much as a laboratory as possible.
Beakers and other equipment would be nice. Right now there is only the microscope and the alchemy furnace (Which does not look sciency/alchemic AT ALL).

Some plain white floor and white walls would also be awesome.

Ooh oooh ooh and floating aetheric geometries in cases, or as pictures, or something

I'd like to request the ability to buy a house. Hyperion needs more wards! My FC has 15 million gil but now land to buy with it. :(

If more wards were added though, and my FC could participate in the housing content, then I'd like to let my minions play in the yard.
