No full-budget, current-gen FF games can be bought for download from PSN. "Can" isn't the same as "will."
All the more reason to abandon any PS3 players at that time. "Just upgrade!"Quote:
Yoshi-P has already said he wants to get the game to as many people as possible, which tells me he will port it to PS4,
I would wager that more HDD-capable PS2's were sold than PS3 units in total. On top of that, there were also the backwards-compatible PS3's, which meant a published PS2 title could be played on both platforms. Indications are that the next PlayStation will not play PS3 games, which can only discourage PS3 publishing once the new system is out.Quote:
You also say how "FFXIV was released in PS2's prime" however there is one peripheral that was required for FFXI, which is the Hard Drive,
Ya'll wrong...
Let me answer the question.
Why bother with PS3?
So I can come downstairs on a Sunday morning in my pyjamas and lounge on my couch and play FFXIV from our 52' TV instead of sitting antisocially in the study infront of our PC :D
Thanks you SE for bringing our the PS3 version <3
And as for the black screen in FFXI, that;s predominantly a data corruption on the HDD and since the PS2 doesnt have the proper correctional utilities for that (unlike the PS3) i guess if u mess up the HDD enough then yea the black screens could eventually make it unplayable.
The only thing we have to go on is prior behavior. How is it not reasonable at this point to assume S-E will behave as they have in the past?
PSN is a new thing for Sony. Over in Microsoft land, have you tried connecting to Xbox Live with an original Xbox lately?Quote:
the PSN store will always be there
lol she could try that gimmicky micro keyboard u can snap on the ps3 controller, sounds pretty dern inefficient to type on tho
