Otherwise, yes: for someone in the public light, as a figurehead or major figure of a company that produces a product that is consumed, even if superficially, such a response, in context, is a bit thin-skinned, especially when it doesn't go into any details. I'm not going to say he should be getting bricks ready for a bridge, but his status and media presence does, in fact, push some importance to how he presents himself and what he says. All of which will be interpreted on a case-by-case basis, with different, often opposing narratives taking the forefront of social media.
Because of that, if there's something bothering him, and he wants to voice it, it's probably for the best if he's a little more clear about what the actual boundaries are. Otherwise, it's best to leave it to the professionals that are supposedly still on the payroll.
