Anyone else just feeling really disapointed this expansion?*vent*

It's too early for me to say whether or not Endwalker is delivering on a content level.

I will say this is the first time I've felt genuinely unsatisfied with how the story was handled, and I'm not getting a terribly strong first impression from the new writers for the MSQ which is concerning to me if they're going to be handling 7.x as well.

I get that we're still early in the void storyline, but it's failed to grab my attention in the way that Pandaemonium and Myths of the Realm have that makes me anxious to see what happens next.

May not be a year. May be only a few months. Or immediately. Bottom line is FF 14 has made sure that FOMO isnt a thing..and to that end, at least IT WILL BE AVAILABLE, unlike Blizzards literally wiping out an entire questline and telling people "you werent here too bad so sad tough luck"

( And yes I am referring to Blizzards blatant lie regarding the cloak and Ordos. That was a despicable act for which they have never apologised. )

Funny enough I feel the opposite. Well in terms of Pandaemonium's story, it's good for what it is, but very lackluster compared to what's going on with 6.2 and beyond. I'm just interested to see what direction they're going with the 13th. Are we going to be able to restore it? Will we get more world lore for it? What's the deal behind Golbez? Is Zeromus truly going to show up or even Cecil Harvey?

What's ultimately going to be the next ongoing story thatll lead to 7.0? It's most likely not going to be related to the 13th but probably will be exploring Meracydia or the New World.

Seriously so many questions here. Pandaemonium is more or less a half solved story, we already know what the end result will be more or less, it's just finding out what we're the pieces that led to Lahabrea and Elidibus's madness.

In terms of side content plot, I feel Myths of the Realm is much stronger since it involved actual world lore and the idea of knowing more about the nature of the revered Twelve is much cooler than Tim and Eric's excellent dad adventures. Still love them and their story, it's just compared to 6.2 and the alliance raids I don't feel that attached to.

I’m pretty confident either Golbez is actually Azdaja in puppet form (helmet is/ has her eye), or Golbez is working with her to essentially force peace on the 13th through tyranny.

Also pretty sure Zero will be Zeromus. If what we understand about the 13th is true, when a voidsent consumes another’s soul, they also mixing with them. We don’t know the details of Zero and Zenos’s agreement, but I’d bet she ate his soul and he’s gonna be back…again.

Not saying I hope that happens- I’d actually be disappointed if it turns out to be true… but from the information given, I see this coming a mile away. Personally I hope it’s just Golbez being a legit villain without need of some goofy twist.

Any price for an old event item is too much when they could just as easily let you earn the item again the next time the event comes around. Possible exception for one time off events like collab stuff.

This is something I have a minor sore spot about;

I first joined the game near launch. During the first Halloween even, I got the ghost costumes, but didn’t bother grinding out the pumpkin heads because I expected I could just do it next year.

Indeed FFXI has always had prior rewards/activities available. When those events came back I often felt sad there was nothing else really to do…so I left the heads as something to look forward to. Then…well… that never happened :/

Easily, huh? When the reward is from a quest line, where exactly does it go and how many years should they go back when they bring back old items? Every event is one time off as it's always a new story with a reward matching the theme.

What about the player that might be too busy around the same time of year? If things just end up back on NPCs for a couple weeks, what does that do for them?
