I remember when that was the only way I could even reach ranged mobs to hold threat to LoS them since the healer insisted on nuke-healing me over nothing while still mid-gather... Good times, is probably not the right description.

And it's not like we had anything else to spend Req on until 72.... Should I deal 110 potency that itself might or might not move the enemies' HP bars by a pixel? Or, heal myself for 50% HP, now that I'm under 30%? Hmmm...

Well my statement in here from this abomination of a thread still stands. Healers still don't heal - they prefer to DPS. I'll continue to cast Clemency to stay alive now and not rely on the healers so much. There are times some healers just cant keep up at times, and they need the help. However, the mindset of DPS > healing is still predominant. I've died too many times in DF because of this.

So, don't get mad.

I personally don't, or didn't. If a tank freaks out because they get below half hp and decides they need to clemency incessantly, even though I have a billion oGCD heals, well, I'm not scared to let them be the healer. Or at least wasn't. Can't say I care for healing in this expac, but the amount of tanks I see freak out because they aren't topped off the instant they drop below half made me giggle.

The generalization here is a bit alarming to tell the truth :/ healing for me is my number 1 priority and I do enjoy it. Honest. We have DPS spells for a reason and I do of course use them but saying “healers don’t heal” is an awful mindset to be in.

Someone casted Clemency on this post.

That’s the best thing ever when as a healer you have a PLD that spam Clemency so you can dps in peace and just Ogcd heal :)

Like I said earlier in the thread, a Clemency from the Paladin means another Gravity for me.

Love how skillfully the TC made one post and got things to snowball to such an amount.

ok,so first of all clemency is a situational spell.it is never intended to be used as a constant tool.second of all the paladin,if he/she chooses,will use to supplement his/her health.it is not meant to offend the healer.it will be used if the healer is in trouble,if you pulled too much or healer is dead.i think in this case we all have to admit that there are pretty bad paladins out there but on the other side of the coin.there are pretty bad healers as well.

so in conclusion PLD will use clemency if he needs it (unless he's bad and spams the crap out of it) or if the healer(not all are like that we know!!) just dps and barely heals the party.so this thread was founded on a supposition and should die with some truth.
