Excluding Players from Ultimate Savage is Not the Right Move

Why? Most of the 95% players even fails in a simple fight like susano. Leave alone dishing out 85% of the classes dps/optimizing it. This goes to every tank and healers as well. As a healer you aren't good if you just goof around healing, much as a tank spams aggro combo when hes 80% ahead of everyone on aggro. The gate is good and it should be like that. I think gates is a good thing in this game in the first place. Simply because you paid and sub the game, doesn't mean you are one of those people who can pull it off. You see it everywhere, people expects clear but doesn't even try.

You have to realize not everyone who has cleared O4S has a static, so they PuG to clear. There are people who actually play in PuGs to get their 1-4 savage clears weekly. That was how I did everything on my Gilgamesh character without a static last tier. A static is way more fun, but there are people who can't commit to a set schedule, or maybe they have more characters they want to trap/pug savage with.

Granted, people who clear the tier early on their own tend to try gather some of the same people to clear content with. However if they are going to freely open a PF to recruit randoms to Ultimate with, they surely would like people who are qualified.

In-fact many mechanics in O4S have actually came from Coil. Someone who hasn't stepped into Coil let alone cleared Neo O4S wouldn't know anything about Allagan Field or Forked Lightning and there you go, instant wipe. With the way mechanics get recycled in this game, there is a pretty inherent advantage of clearing the tier. Knowing your job to a raid-level, mechanical awareness, aside from having likely full i340 level.

Ultimate won't be weekly locked but savage will likely still be to prevent full-gear inflation.

Every person gets an i345 token for a weapon upon ultimate clear. It's meant to be a one-and-done thing.

Because it is catered to Hardcore Raiders who will take the content serious, maybe?

I casually play while stepping my foot into harder content for the experience. If I'm not ready, I don't enter. Ready meaning my gear and melds are efficient, as well as having SOME knowledge of the fight from vids and streams.

To date, while I raided the Coils, I have never stepped foot into the Savage modes. I'm not ready, as I have not took time to research those fights.

I probably wont get to see it due to not being good at this game but I think it's pretty fair.
You proved you can handle yourself in savage so now you can move onto the next hardest thing, it's a cool concept having previous hard content be a proving ground.

What is the purpose of allowing people who haven't cleared O4S to go in Bahamut Ultimate if they don't have the knowledge and skill for it?
You really think people who will create pf to go and challenge Ultimate will just go in it for... "nothing yeah we don't care let's wipe all day because the party definitly isn't ready for it and it's super fun to wipe forever on the very first mechanic" ?

You say it excludes people, but the battle itself by being really hard is already "excluding" these people. And if it wasn't locked, the community would do it, not because they are jerk and idiots but this is OBVIOUS they would like good and performant people to go in.

Soooooo.... this is THE MOST LOGICAL THING... for people to first kill O4S then go in Ultimate.
This is a challenging content for hardcore players but also a form of "reward" for them. Like "hey, thank you and congratz for clearing O4S, here is now the REAL hard battle !"

But it would seems you definitly are stuck in your idea and no matter how many people tell you how stupid your argument is, you'll keep telling them it's unfair.

seriously what are you smoking, you do realize the WHOLE GAME is like this? players cant access EX modes of primal until they beat the HMs, you can access savage mode until you beat normal raids......I mean really what are you even getting at here?

I'm fine with this. I don't do savage personally, but every MMO has a gate check for harder difficulties to make sure players are ready.

Though, I wish SE would focus on more general end game stuff as well, instead of mostly just catering to the few percent who'll actually play it. For example, I heard there's only going to be one new dungeon this time?

yes, as it was said before 4.0 even came out, odd numbered patches have 1 dungeon and a bunch of other stuff added, where as even number will have 2

The one dungeon thing is so they have more time to create different things (in odd numbered patches). Like fleshing out Eureka (so it hopefully won't be Diadem 4.0) and whatever else (Squadrons joining you in dungeons, etc). Also, maybe this one dungeon will have some very interesting bosses in it.

I'm going to have to say it's odd to say that SE is catering to the "1%" when throughout ARR and HW they've mostly catered to casuals.

Where is the dislike button!? SE needs to overhaul the forums.
