That would not be me, so... sorry, but I thought it all looked out of place.Quote:
For the 5 people who have actually played a FF that isn't XIV
Not everyone who plays FFXIV and likes the overall style of the game and graphics has a background that includes other FF titles. Based on what's in the game now, all of that looked out of place.
Different strokes for different folks. /shrug It's obviously going to be added to the game anyway, so what's the point of going on about it either way?
If they made them grow wings, it would be cool, and could explain why they are taking so long. But thats not likely, will probably look lame. Another cool idea would be if they could jump really high or far, but that would just get frustrating trying to get around places like the Sea of Clouds eventually, if you were in a rush. It would be fun other wise though.

Sums it up really...
I really don't know why there is even an argument about this. This event will be for a month or less and will disappear forever. The items will be worn for a couple of months and will be forgotten. The mount will be awesome for a week or two before people go back to their own mounts that they feel epic on. Look at the Lightning event. How many people even use that stuff anymore?
My only issue with the complaints is them feeling oddly out of place considering all that's happened. We can have tanks running around in their underwear and a chef's hat tanking a giant robot boss and the variety of other ridiculous looking glamours that we have present already. The ship on the whole immersion thing has long since set sail. I'm all for thematic consistency (i.e. making sure all the gear looks like it fits in to the universe in some way) but again, that and the immersion argument don't really hold weight in lieu of the whole tanks in their underwear thing.
For the record I'd be all in for ditching a good portion of the glamour items, but again, it's way too late to do anything about it at this point.
My argument is still valid. At least in my observation no one wears that stuff and if they do it is only bits and pieces of the armor to enhance another Glamour set. The weapons are also rare to see. It is because glamour is pumped out so much that the current or previous glamour becomes obsolete that not many care for it anymore.
