Compromise: Just Charge $5 For Now. Once 2.0 is Out, Then Charge $12

I feel $5-7 is a good compromise - I can support the devs and feel like I'm paying for what the game currently deserves.

If it's $12.95 I doubt I will be playing.

I would have no problems paying the full amount. I'd actually love to do that. I love the way this game is now the prologue more or less to whats to come. My gear/weapons/jobs/gil will transfer to v2.o which gives me a huge head start over new v2.o players. But I am being pushed up against the wall here because I can't even play. I play on Besaid server and every night between 8pm cst and 2am cst I get a horde of r0's which cause the game to freeze while i run around stuck only to speed play then it comes back for a second to try to catch up things and then r0's again all night until I can't take it anymore and am forced to quit. Are you guys seriously gonna make players that wanna play this game because they love it. PAY when its like a nightmare to even play connection wise.... How bout you fix your server issues then we can talk.

Yeah but that's in April. I'm going by ( whats closest) Which is 1.20/1.21

The "half complete" argument isn't going to hold.

Yoshida himself has stated that the game was at 50%, it's true. But if anybody decided to actually follow up on the most recent bits by him, he says that with the release of 1.20, the game is close enough to that 100% to start charging.

Im am in the exact same issue as Toxsik...actually as I type this post (s48 r0)..I have posted in many different sections regarding this issues post 1.19 and have received no reponse regarding a solutions to the problem...talk of all this new content..and being apart of something exclusive pre 2.0 is exciting. I just hope the r0 issue is resolved before they start to ask me for my money!

the 50% wasnt even talking about the game being half complete, but their plans for 2.0 being "half complete"

theres a huge difference

especialy since no mmo is ever complete

Aye. The prologue will be at ~90% in 1.20, which is a point where I am comfortable paying at. The rest goes exactly as you say. We should enjoy the exclusive Prologue and look forwards to v2.0.
