In your opinion.

Sorry. I didn't mean to imply that you called me a terrible person specifically. I was referring to the notion that I (and other people who let Eos/Selene do all the work/afk/whatever) are apparently considered bad people for not going above and beyond for a party and choosing to be lazier than other members.
However, SCH just happens to be in a unique position where people can play like this and still do their jobs and I'll be damned if I let someone tell me that I'm wrong for doing so mainly because their job can't easy mode it too. If you don't like it, don't play with SCHs
Since this is the Universe created, Planck instant by Planck instant, by my perception of it, my opinion is the only opinion that matters.
It's also my opinion, to knowingly act as described in this scenario, marks one as a person of poor character, someone with whom I would not willingly associate and certainly never employ.
Cheers.
And what am I guilty of, exactly? Taking advantage of something to my benefit with no real detriment to other party members? That I can do my job with less to no effort compared to my party members and they can't?
Is it unfair? Probably. Is it lazy? Sure. But selfish? No. I'm not robbing the party of anything but my unneeded, undivided attention because Eos does that for me.
It's not my fault that it isn't possible to auto tank or auto dps effectively and expecting me to work harder for no real reason other than "I want you to work hard just because I have to in order to be relevant and useful!" is the real selfish action here.
Let me put this into perspective.
Eos is capable of healing low level dungeons without the help of the SCH himself or herself. By saying you want the SCH himself or herself to also heal, you're saying you want more heals than what is necessary which is called overhealing. Overhealing is bad. Tl;dr You're asking the SCH to be bad to make you happy.
Now if you're saying you don't want the SCH to overheal but to DPS then as aforementioned anything beyond healing from a healer is a bonus.
It's not even about going above and beyond for a party. I don't know, maybe it's my Canadian sensibilities talking but by /following a party member and letting your fairy do all the work while you go afk is basically telling your team "Yeah, my time is much more precious than yours so can you just play puppetmaster for the next 20mins or so and get me my roulette? k thnx bai." It just seems like a really rude and disrespectful thing to do since I bet they wept a little seeing that intro for the 50th time. Then they come to realize they're playing babysitter to some SCH's avatar, it's probably a frustrating experience.
Honestly I haven't been paired with a SCH in a looong time outside CT since I main it myself, so I was never aware this happened. But consider this; nobody chooses to partner with you or other SCH's, the DF does that for them, which is why I personally think if you're gonna low lvl roulette to at least show some form of etiquette that you would expect to receive yourself. Because really if your team could have the pick of the litter, do you think you would ever get chosen over the SCH who at least participates in the self-induced purgatory that is tam tara?
Let me put my opinion bluntly then. If you having all your healing covered by EoS and are not dps'ing but are half / fully afk on follow, you are no different than a bot and should receive a perma ban for botting.
Accepting it is worse than banning. Perhaps the best solution is to remove the fairy in pre 30 dungeons. Seems too many people want to cheat to have nice things.
I'm leveling a scholar currently. I dps in low level dungeons. follow-afk is the same as a bot, is the same as an exploit in my opinion. They're all ways to cheat, and all despicable.
