A hyperbolic argument is a failed argument by definition. Which is obvious considering your failed logic. Nobody is barring anyone, nor dictating anything, given that joining the party is an informed, consensual act.

"You can't come because this loot is mine and mine alone." I don't understand how you feel this is not a barring act. Yes, you can make your own. Yes, you could try to find another person recruiting that isn't so self-entitled to have such ridiculous, selfish conditions. However, the fact remains that you cannot join this particular group, that's a bar.

I am not arguing the freedom of people to do as they like. If they want to be selfish ****s, more power to them. The fact is that more and more people are beginning to think that this behavior is civil and acceptable. It's morally wrong.

Throw it up to the changing times. Like people who walk around with their pants halfway down. The more people that do it, the more socially acceptable it is.

To be fair eating a Hot Pocket would likely cause a wipe while someone putting me on their imaginary list has no effect on me.

if might not have an effect on you, but it might on someone else. the same thing could be said about harassing a player with dps numbers you get from a parser. it won't cause a wipe, but it's still harassment and some players will be extremely offended by it.

what's wrong with calling someone out with their low dps number you got from a parser? its like telling that person you ate a hot pocket.

the guy felt like he was being harassed. he filed a harassment report. now he's being harassed by players on here for feeling like he was being harassed in the game.
