Because they're the status quo. McDonald's is largely garbage food. You have some standouts in their menu, but largely, you know you're getting the dregs of fast food there. But they are so accessable and well known, they still remain among the top dogs out there in fast food.Quote:

Like if we hadn't said anything or it had been a full minute maybe but can't wait more 10 seconds when people have actually acknowledged you being there and just asked for a few seconds xD -

Still, to the other person watching - this is perhaps the ultimate reason to go get 'em now. Speaking as another Mentor, someone shouldn't be doing something like that without any risk of repercussions, eh? So I've been working on optimizing Bard buffs. I'm of the opinion that Bard played at high efficiency is pretty damn broken. When you think about it, Bard was built to help trivialize large pulls more than any other DPS job. We got a 45 second cooldown/15 second healing increase buff, and Troubadour can help large pulls by either letting the party recover 15% more HP via healing (stacking with Troubadour) or reducing the damage taken by physical attacks by 10% for 30 seconds.
It paid off. It culminated in a 16:20 run of Kugane Castle that I had a few days ago. The party setup was DRK/SCH/BRD/SAM. It looked like a premade, but an after-run lodestone search revealed that everyone was from different servers. Apparently, a Bard making use of those support skills allows even today's Scholars to jump into nuking mode while letting the fairy handle everything, aside from a few tactical CDs from the Scholar's end. -

I actually really liked the content itself; I found the Broken Isles to be fascinating to explore on foot, and demon hunters were actually a lot of fun to play as. Unfortunately, there just wasn't enough depth to keep me there, especially with how healers just became copy-paste similar. As many others I've been using PvP to level some classes up - except maybe that I used to play PvP before, basically since Shatter - always on and off, most of the time actually as scholar.
Today however I wanted to get my BLM to 61, so no healing for me!
As always there is a shortage of healers though - most of the time no one says a word about that but today I got the same person in three runs, "demanding" that people switch to healer because they wanted at least one healer in each group. Now, in general thats not a bad idea ofc!
However: Healing is among the more stressfull and less rewarding aspects of PvP - you get achievments for killing people, not for healing them. If someone dies they complain about bad heals (not noticing that there are two healers total, both spamming heals but, well, just not on them in that very moment) and so on - in short: People obviously actually dont want to heal (or they would have queued as healer).
So my personal stance here is: If you request the rest of your alliance to do a job they dont want to do because you believe its needed (again: not saying it isnt), you should be the first one willing to change to that job instead of expecting the rest to do the dirty work so you can keep on getting your kills or exp for your DPS-class.
That person was a ninja and when asked to set an example replied with "Dont have a healer". Okay. You only need level 30 now to enter PvP. You can just go and pick up astrologian in Ishgard! Comes at 30! Done! There you go, got your groups healer! THEN we can talk about asking others to maybe switch aswell...
Again - not a bad idea to have a healer. But I highly dislike this attitude of "I'll just tell everyone else to do it because I dont want to!" -

Out of all the hordes of Samurai I've met for instance, I've maybe only run into a grand total of FIVE that were actually able to far and away out-DPS me. As a Bard. That's actually shameful considering they're supposed to have higher damage in exchange for all the utility I have, not to mention my songs buff them and don't even work on myself. My mentality probably meshes very close to players on the JP servers, now that I think about it.
