Is it a 24 hour block? Another player was saying it was a 30day block? Anyone have info posted by SE about account information, because I could not find anything helpful on the support page.

I am also getting Error 601. I live in Korea but my account is NA and my credit card is from the USA. I am also a 1.0 user. My subscription ran out so I went to update the payment info, and bam 601. I've tried adding crysta through paypal and game cards like people suggested but SE still not accepting it. I tried to use the Live Chat but after 2 hours of waiting I finally got to 5 in the queue, and it said no one is available and kicked me off. Are you kidding me? What kind of customer service is that. I've tried different browsers, I've tried changing my IP to match my card, I've tried multiple different payment options, still Error 601. I've called my bank to see if it was on their end, and it's not. Seriously SE, you have to wait 30 days? If that is the case, you just lost another subscriber. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. (let me just make an international call to your support number and sit on hold for an hour and enjoy my nice phone bill for you to tell me there is nothing you can do.)
same problem. 601 and 401. prepaid card not accepted...
I thought FFX1 playonline payment system was bad...didnt think they could out do that...
I was told by a customer service representative via phone support that my particular block was 24 hours. I cannot speak on the behalf of others, after-all there may be different issues at cause here. For all i know, there may be a 30 day block for certain suspicious activities and a 24 hour block for others.
What if no game stops in my state sell these cards? Then what do i do?
Welcome to my world. The only difference is while I was in queue for chat support, I whipped out my phone and called them up, and NO it did NOT take an hour, it took ONE MINUTE for them to pick up. So please, do not bitch about a service you have yet to try out. As I posted above, the representative told me you need to stop attempted to make payments and WAIT 24 HOURS from your last attempt, and THEN try paying with a card of same country as your ip.
I'll let you know in a few hours if it works, cause i got no option to get a prepaid card - there aren't any in the state that i live in.
Yesterday had the errors with my dutch creditcard and german creditcard wich i used here in Germany.
Somehow i can't change the country i live in and it is still standing on the Netherlands.
So i let my bro pay for me in the Netherlands, and worked!
So maybe some people have the same isue, might be it.

ATTENTION IF YOU ARE USING NO-SCRIPT!!
I was having these same error issues, but I was able to get through by allowing scripts globally in No Script. A site from a secondary source will open up within MogStation, and you aren't given the chance to allow those scripts before Mog Station errors out. Give this a try, there is a good chance it will solve your problem!

I did not have no scripts, however I did have AdBlock+. I have since disabled it and my windows firewalls. Gearing up to attempt this in a few hours, exactly 24 horus after my last attempt.
Can anyoen tell me the supposedly "appropriate method" of renewing my subscription?
Do I need to "update/register payment method" with my credit card before attempting to renew via the mogstation or can i just go straight to the mog station and pay without updating the payment method via the square enix management system?
I don't see how waiting any length of time will make a difference unless whatever caused these billing errors in the first place is fixed.
I feel for all of you guys. I was in the same situation. Multiple credit cards, PayPal, Ultimate Game Card, in America, or in Japan (where I'm currently living), nothing seemed to work. Luckily, I was able to send a furikomi (wire transfer) for Crysta to PayByCash-Japan through a 7-11 last night. Sent an email this morning and they had Crysta in my account by the end of the day. At least while I'm in Japan, I've found my way of paying the subscription. Still though this is me going around SE's bs payment system. They need to get this fixed.
If anyone is living in Japan and facing this error 601 problem, try the furikomi route.

Maybe we have to take the complaints to twitter since that is the only way people see crap these days? I never use it at all, and did a #ffxiv601error or however twitter works to that @ffxiv_news_en
I really hope it is them being overloaded and hope there is something official that is said about this, since I don't want to have the same problems when I move soon to another country as I still want to continue to play.
My payment went through fine as my account was made in Canada and I am still living in Canada but when I move to another country I don't want to have these problems. It's sort of crazy to think that you won't be able to pay for a game for being in another country. I really hope this is not the case and I hope Square is able to resolve this for you guys.
I'm also having the problem. I got past 401 by disabling noscript/adblock to register for automatic renewal and buy digital CE upgrade, but when it came time to charge me, I was just told that automatic renewal was disabled due to an error, and thus I can't pay. I can't seem to purchase Crysta either (error 11000).
It's also kind of disgusting that the only game time cards Australians get are $40 for 2 months. I'd rather use my Mastercard Debit card and not get ripped-off. I was going to pay for 3 months Standard, but now when it's working I'll only pay Entry sub monthly...
Me and my wife using the same CC info as our payment. my Acc was so lucky and auto renew me from free 14 days into sub for 6 months but my wife Acc got inactivated and now as the most of you getting 601 then 401 when trying to pay with the same CC. We are both 1.0 players. Now its over 24 hrs and still not an offical post stating WTF is going on. have tested Noscript and shit even tried different CC and still no luck.
We even got an Ultimate pay Acc which was fine but now fail to log in. So anyone know should we just call in Ultimte pay and force them to go through the payment on crysta? Or ..... just sit and wait lol
I've been trying to get this sorted since SEP 2. I've read pretty much all of your comments and I gotta say, some of your questions have been addressed by SE. Well one of them. If you are sharing a CC with someone else, you are much more likely to get an error. SE stated this(I don't exactly remember where because they have 213095209345 websites). The CC will be charged to one account, but not the other, resulting in an error and forcing a block on the account. Do NOT use the same CC for multiple accounts. I guess it's one of their counter-measures against RMT.

That's because crysta is not available in all regions. I'm having the same problem. Tried adding 2 CCs with no success and getting 601. Was hopping for a SE reply somewhere since we already at page 40
the fact they arent even commenting on this issue is unbelievable. the ulti[ay options arent even working now just locked in there login screen!
Now Ultimatepay login is down too. Anyone knows are JP got no problem at all?

I've seen several tweets mentioning ffxiv regarding the payment issues but no official tweet from SE yet as far as I know
So as a last ditch effort I called GlobalCollect's CS and got a rep immediately. She asked me to take a screen shot of the error I'm receiving and mail it to their CS Email. Has anyone tried this?
I'm attempting to reproduce the error and the processing is just sitting on the Processing Payment screen with the globalcollect icon. Figures. haha :confused:

I have literally tried every option to try to register a card, add crysta to my account, via ultimate pay, paypal and ultimate game cards.

There is something seriously wrong with your payment systems, and I demand official recognition to this problem and a fix as soon as possible.
Why can't they at least respond and give us instructions/feedback?
Im also 1.0 player and getting 401 and 601 while trying to set up subscription. I tried the live chat support instead email and it was even bigger joke. I queued for 2 hours and when it was finally my turn this is what i got:

anyone else been charged 1 pound evertime they have tried? im minus 4 pounds now! just another nail in the coffin taking money for no reason.
I have had some friends have this issues, I use to subscribe to ffxi also for many years, works if goes through them, but not there 3rd party system., and when they went to 3rd party billing. There are alot usa banks and states, That can not accept the payment if, That said third party accepts money from online gambling sites also or your bank has not verified it not a online gambling front. Most banks flag a 1$ dollar charge and blocked your CC. They think it a hacker hacking your card also. I would recommend EVERYONE, Just set up a paypal account and buy the ultimate game card. It best route that works. and if use both those customer service. They get it fixed in 10 minutes.
I'm hesitant to even try to subscribe anymore if what people are saying about being locked out for 30 days is true. I'm really starting to lose hope for this game that in the beginning actually rekindled my desire to play MMOs... :(
FINALLY GOT IN....
Preface, I am in Japan and I think my CC is getting rejected by the GlobalCollect company. My CC says it is ok.
1) Get OPENVPN for US connection
2) Buy Walmart Ultimate Gamer card: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Ultimate-G...ivery/21310090
3) Wait for PIN from Walmart via email.
4) Use IE for mog station (hopefully this avoids the scripting blocking issues with Chrome/Firefox?)
5) Go to your account and add the crysta to your account by using the PIN you got from the email from Walmart
6) Next you may still not be able to log in if you need to actually pay for service with the Crysta from the Mog station under the update payment method and select Crysta
I like to add that I think the majority of issues falls under 2 things: 1) we are not in the same country as our credit cards 2) we accumulated enough failures that GlobalCollect is rejecting any payments.
I'm in NA, but for my husband's account he did get billed $1 and nothing else. I wonder how many chargebacks SE is going to get. If we can't get his account up and running, I'll cancel my subscription and ask for a chargeback on that too. I only paid the 180 days assuming he'd be able to play.
I wish that worked for me, but I get error 11000 when attempting to add Crysta :/
