No, is it that hard to understand people are shaming the company for allowing this to be a mount you pay cash for instead of allowing people to earn it ingame?

He instigated the whole "let's stop being werewolves" plotline because he was anti-werewolf, just in a more thorough way than the silver hand.Quote:
"That's what I've spent my twilight years trying to find out. And now I've found the answer. The witches' magic ensnared us, and only their magic can release us. They won't give it willingly, but we can extract their foul powers by force. I want you to seek them out. Go to their coven in the wilderness. Strike them down as a true warrior of the wild. And bring me their heads. The seat of their abilities. From there, we may begin to undo centuries of impurity." -Blood's honor
"And so slain the beast inside of me. I thank you for this gift. The other Harbingers remain trapped by Hircine, though. Perhaps from Sovngarde, the heroes of old can join me in their rescue. The Harrowing of the Hunting Grounds. It would be a battle of such triumph. And perhaps some day, you'll join us in that battle. But for today, return to Jorrvaskr. Triumph in your victory. And lead the Companions to further glory." - Glory of the dead
"Scammed"? Too strong a term in this case.
Say what you will about the online store and purchasing items from it - you're entitled to your opinion, as am I. And mine is that the online store for this game is nowhere near as bad as some of the nonsense that Free to Play games push.
I buy, for example, a mount? I get what I paid for. Whereas the F2P game I used to play put pretty everything and anything desirable in loot/gambleboxes. Boxes with a preposterously low chance (although the Devs refused to divulge the official odds) of winning anything but fluff. And to be fair, they did/do put some desirable items in their online 'cash shop'... in bundles to the value of £200.
And you know the sad thing? It works. Players of that game will throw literally thousands at trying to win the grand prize in those sleazy lootboxes. So yeah - not only is it a scam, it encourages gambling - in some cases, very likely underage gambling.
And again, say what you will about FFXIV's cash shop, but there isn't any sleazy gambling encouragement involved in what they sell.
Does this mean we will be able to buy Thomas the train mount in the next expansion?
I don't have an issue with them selling mounts what I have an issue with is how much they're selling it for $30+ seems unreasonable given that in some ftp mmos mounts can be $10-$20. Taking into account that this is subscription based I think a more reasonable mount price would fall under $5-$15 depending on carrier size. $30? That's half an expansion...this can also be applied to other cosmetics. (Save for maybe fantasia [that's where they make bank and I guess it's justified given it allows you to remake how you look].)
don't need, don't care.
and as OP clearly shows, this mount seems to be an object people desire, it would be silly not to make money off of it. Also reporting a company for selling a good to the BBB, LMFAO!!!!
Hey, yeah. They sell things people ask for, don't they? Can we get more content if we pay money?
It's easy as hell for me not to pay money to buy mounts, outfits, emotes and even in game crap like housing and gil, but what if I want to use kaiten or run the original Pharos Sirius, or have Perma death cliffs back in the game for the duties they existed for before. Can I spend an extra dollar on my sub to play 4.x AST or SCH instead of an additional retainer to amass gil that I can only really spend on cosmetics? Can I purchase new hardmode reimaginings of dungeons each patch that are a cut above the bland hallways full of trash that's functionally identical?
I feel like money speaks, and right now there's little I can say about the direction I'd like them to go in, other than "make more polygons I can't even use in town, please."
I paid $40 for the Expansion, $12 for my Subscription, $10 for the Base Game, and only ever bought 1 Mount from the store.....am I being abused?
:/
I had to pay $5 for a Glass of Milk after paying $8 for a slice of Pie.
Now THAT is Abuse.
you mean shadowbringers? b/c i need you to list me every single shb endgame content vs ew endgame content? and you will get the same results...while ew doesnt have a exploration relic zone or a firmament zone, it has 3 dungeons, a deep dungeon, and extra ultimate over shb
Hate it! They keep bullying me too. Just yesterday they had to gall to ask “do you want to make it a Large?”
And what does SE do!? Totally complicit!

It sucks, it shouldve been in mogtome or part of some quest during the next patch, but not that....
Weren't you the clown that made this thread about the savage mount *and* made this post? https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...=1#post6257507
I'm mostly appaled by the price tag on that thing. I don't care that much about them selling cosmetic items on the Mog Station, but the prices of them are ridiculous. Sure, the mount looks cool and I would like it but...I can get 3 entire new games for the same amount of money considering there's a summer sale on Steam right now. That's hundreds of hours of fun versus one mount. Yeah, not happening, sorry Squeenix.
Yes, apparently they thought it was so unfair that they (allegedly) needed to buy it TWICE, despite loud complaints and/or a BBB report
