But the lowest system would be PS4, the ps4 can handle it perfect.... then you may need to update is NOT SE fult. Jist like we updated from PS3 to PS4 , is also your job to change PC prices or buy new one (however it work)

Really? I (and some people on reddit) have been wondering how the JP players are viewing Pagos.
I dislike Eureka but suffered for the Dyable PLD armor, and used my excess crystals to get DRK to almost ILV335. But Pagos? I spent an hour, died, got a group, farmed, then did the Bunny Fate and learned how terrible it was...and promptly left.
Not katana is worth this. Nor is that crappy PLD weapon. The fact they made something even UGLIER then Galantyn is AN ACHIEVEMENT.
Giving it a little thought, I have some ideas of how they could hotfix Pagos to make it more bearable. This is assuming that they aren't going to completely rework it (which, they should) but leave most of everything intact.
1. Increase NM Spawn Rate and Improve Chain Mob EXP.
The first one is obvious. Make the actual fun part of Pagos happen more often.
As for improvement on chain mobs I personally would increase EXP gain, make chains not expire unless you leave the immediate area, remove the cap on the chain, and/or make conditions to force mutations.
2. Level Sync
Because I have outleveled all of my other friends, I will never be able to play Pagos with them again for weeks or even months. In Anemos, we could hop on the FATE train regardless of our level. In Pagos, I am stuck with randoms for the rest of my days because I have more days off than all my friends.
3. Remove Death Penalty
This is not fun. This is not exciting. It is tedious and harmful. People are using it to grief. People are losing EXP more than before because Pagos is too damn dangerous to traverse to save someone.
In the same vein, it destroys groups so fast it's not funny. You have a tank that messed up and pulled too many mobs and killed you all? I'm not taking the risk and will leave to find another group. I know this sentiment is shared because I'm never the first to leave. People leaving groups has made leveling AWFUL. I spent 7 hours yesterday bouncing between failed groups and went from halfway through 23 and halfway through 24 (which was because people dropped so much and I also saw a whopping 2 NMs in 7 hours).
4. Add Mounts.
I don't care if mounts is 25+ or even 30+. Make it earlier. A good chunk of my fun in Anemos was taxing around lowbies in my party one at a time to the NM spawn locations so they are safe.
-------------------
Are these above changes perfect? No. It's hard to fix the garbage fire that is Eureka. But make it like Anemos again and at least it is passable.
Pagos as it stands a cesspool of irritated people and toxic behavior. There is no more camaraderie or fun shout chat. People are not helping each other enmasse anymore. In fact, Pagos created a huge divide between high and low level players, to the point that I have actually seen insults in shout chat towards lower level players, telling them to "go back to snow queen" and stay out of the northern half of the map. People are left for dead if they unknowingly make the wrong people angry. There is screenshots, videos, everything documenting the nasty attitudes Pagos has brought out. I have never seen the shout chat in FFXIV ever so hateful towards each other and the content (yes. 95% of people I am partying with hate every second of it).
It is insulting to get this as content when it should have been released earlier along with everything else. If they wanted this to take us the whole patch to do, they should have released it with the patch and not staggered content. If Pagos was released back May then maybe people could justify the grind. It's an endless grind for useless weapons and all it really chalks up to is a huge slap in the face of both casuals (because Pagos is not casual content) and collectors.
Moreover, I want a response from the community team to know if they are listening or just ignoring us like always. They can respond within an hour to Rathalos questions, but mysteriously disappear for days on end when people are widely discontent. If SE hears that we hate it and decides to keep it as is, fine. Whatever. They can lose subs, idc. But I want to know that they DO hear it. Right now, all I imagine is the devs patting themselves on the backs oblivious to the fact the community views this worse than Diadem.
I know. I already have -0 hope they will respond, but you have to try at least? They should listen to us since NA is their biggest market iirc.
I want to like Eureka. It's why I keep going into Pagos despite me hating it every single time. I want them to make hotfixes to make it more bearable.
(Sorry for edit. This char has a 2 post limit per day until I level her up. Grr.)
I know that the community managers aren't the development team, but they absolutely 100% can write that they have informed the development team of our comments. See the Savage+ Dungeon thread. The only other game I have played that has such abysmal communication between the customers and the developers is TERA, and look how that turned out. Unfortunately on game forums, silence does come off as an answer and that answer is "we don't care".
These are community team members, not the direct SE development team. So they can't immediately answer for you because their job is to give the feedback to SE, and then they will respond back, they translate it, then release it to the public. I am sure they take in feedback and send it to the team. The content just got released, so unless there is something game breaking or immediately not working, then they are going to be taking feedback and comparing how each region reacts to the content and release it then. They also have to take information from multiple sources besides the forums. We may hear from this if enough complaints, but getting a response back this quick is not a normal thing.
Yet they ban for an "F-word" even if its not directed to someone, that always go first. But since the release we complain about the same things. And tbh, at least a party sync should be default, you can not sweet talk it. Just befrore i was in party 24-26, we killed mobs and the moment i hit 27, since the lowest still was 1/4 before 25 i got about 1k less exp... yeah right, so either I leave and get another party, leaving em with one member short OR kick the 24 wich spent all the time with us... kinda... tbh i noticed my self i started to think about not raisng other ppl and not wait with fates... playing like that kinda brings up the worst within me...
And i know we wont get that perfect hotfix that'll make it at least as ok as anemos, but at least some "we gathered your feedback and are delivering it to the devolpers" at some of those threads would help a lot..
Well, when Anemos came out, through a bit of casual grinding I was able to gain about five levels a day and hit Level 20 before the end of the first week.
I'm still on Level 24 in Pagos with the same time investment.
Easily the worst content this game has put out yet by far. Hard to get parties, no one helps with raises and the grind is ridiculous. I've been in Pagos several times and I've literally made almost no progress due to it being impossible to make any group work without it disbanding. Not worth it at all or at least I'll wait till it's nerfed but I'm not wasting my time with this garbage.
Currently level 26. I'm fine with the mindless mob grinding and what not. I'm not okay with the crappy Light Farming and inconsistency of NM spawning rates (with / without a tracker).
The fact that 2 NM's give me 1/5th of a bar towards a crystal is pretty absurd with the way the rates are now. On top of that, we need 31 Frozen Protean Crystals total? With Anemos, I got in and out of that place in 2 days tops.
Here, lord knows how long I'll be. It took me 2 hours just for 1 light gauge to fill up. Odds are, I'll wait until its nerfed cause this is ridiculous. I'm honestly fine with grinding but not with rates worse than anything I've ever seen before.
Even more boring than Anemos to be honest.
Well after this week of grinding I will say that the spawn rate of NMs needs to be greatly improved. Especially the ones which require specific weather or are spawned by mobs that require specific weather or night mobs. Yes the cave idea is neat but it makes it even more difficult to help someone if a death occurs. In Anemos people were pretty good about saving folk but in Pagos with the dependence on chain farming and the high risk of trying to get to some areas it seems like people are less willing to help if someone gets downed while exploring or trying to get to one of the very infrequent NMs. Since the point seems to be exploring with the bunnies after the grind to 35 it would be a very good idea to remove the death penalty completely. Just having to start over from base or one of the aetherites plus the loss of the bunny seems like a big enough penalty without having to strip a player of potentially hours of grinding as well.
Ultimately even though the train in Anemos was not the most exciting thing it was at least more fun than what we have going on in Pagos currently. It also appears that due to the way things work in Pagos that as soon as a group gets 35 and gets their Louhi drops they do not have any desire to help spawn him for anyone who missed the initial rush.
Personally I'm disappointed. As someone that wasn't into Anemos in the beginning, but got into it, thanks to people I know, I was personally excited for Pagos and further weapon upgrades even with disappointment over armor not being included initially.
The way Pagos is right now is 100% an invitation to carpal tunnel syndrome. As someone who experiences it, playing Pagos for even a short period is a test on me, so I can't handle much chaining before needing a break. The grinding aspect from XI that they clearly want here is not as welcomed. You can't compare the games, since XI's actions per minute were so incredibly minor compared to XIV it's ridiculous. That's why the NM train was good. Sure, it invited a lot of leeching via people AFKing until pops, etc, but it also promoted socializing while people gradually got to 20, if they weren't already there. With the NM trains, you also didn't have to worry about what makes chains the most tolerable: making sure everyone is as close to the same elemental level as possible, because it does not take much of a difference to make the EXP take a huge hit (IE: killing the level 28 worms with a level 24 in a 22-23~ pt, you'll lose quite bit of EXP per kill with minor differences in kill time if any). It's bad enough that there's literally no room for much (no socializing, etc) in chaining other than slowly killing each enemy within the timer.
To wit, if SE is so bent on making this the way to do things, there needs to be either:
1) a level sync feature that syncs you to a target party member (XI feature!)
or,
2) get rid of the EXP penalties and gaps altogether.
and regardless of what else they do,
3) NMs should spawn more frequently.
Since #2 is wishful thinking, I won't hold my breath over that one. Also, the issue where the chain can still reset with an active timer is also in need of fixing. Also, the EXP loss on returning from death is just horrible. That needs to stop. Pagos seems to have a toxic community in that regard. People would go out of their way to raise people in Anemos while they don't here. Yes XI had EXP loss, but it was capped at like 2,400 from a death! Losing over 200k (as seen from the user below my post) is just beyond awful. Anemos's friendlier environment made the EXP loss much less of a concern. I've read of a lot more people losing experience in Pagos in the first week than I did the entire time Anemos has been around!
tl;dr: Due to the NM train and frequency of pops (and people who would help with Raises), Anemos was good for people, Pagos is the polar opposite. You can't help any friends who are behind much, nor can you join any friends who are ahead much with the way gaining experience works in Pagos. It's mind-boggling. I have friends who don't even want to enter Pagos because it's such a grind fest...friends that I know would love to work on relics, but the grind turns them off so fast in a hurry and I totally get why.
The challenge log was a great addition when it happened during Anemos, as it encouraged some chaining while being rewarding. Sure, it was meant for catching up, but with the amount of experience needed to level from 20 to 35 which is significantly higher than I imagine anyone expected, it's clear that is now also lacking. Sure, at early levels in Pagos, it can get you a level and then some, but it likely won't take long until that's not the case, unless it scales by the EXP needed to level even more (spoiler: it most likely won't). Adding a third tier (or more, but trying to be realistic in what I hope for here) to each would help a bit more. With the absurd EXP requirements, I personally feel it's necessary.
I tend not to post on my main due to people bothering me in game about my opinions, but this just broke me.
I died on the way to a NM very close to an aetheryte. Plenty of people around me. I did not get a single raise. I sat there for several minutes calling in shout and MY OWN PARTY asking for a raise, and was ignored by everyone. Eventually, a literal angel (I wish I could name them here because they deserve praise) came to raise me but I dc'd right as I accepted the raise. When I came back, the raise did not go through so I asked again. And ignored. I lost all of my exp I had worked for over several hours (holding together groups at my level is hard). WHY? What did I do wrong?! I was with a party. I was not alone. My own party ignored me because their EXP is more important than mine, even though it would have taken them 3 seconds to raise me.

They only started responding to me 10 minutes after I died and spawned back. Saying it said I was in base (and was struggling to load into base despite my internet being fine). No s***. I timed out.
I'm so happy SE decided to release this piece of content that fosters so much loathing and bickering between players.
I completely agree with all of these points especially #3. I wanted to casually explore Pagos, and take screenshots (as this is a huge part of the game for me) but I am unable to due to being afraid of deleveling due to death and people not raising me. Why would people break their endless chain grind to help raise someone at this point? With Anemos, everyone was in the "train" always helping others, and you only needed a few people to help kill monsters to spawn an NM. It encouraged people to work together and have fun in shout chat. Now this is no longer the case and outside of challenge log (which appears to taper off around level 23) I do not wish to return to Pagos until they add some kind of heavy nerf. Very disappointed in something that was supposed to be "casual side content".
You will get mounts at 35, it's basically the reward for completing the zone, beyond that, SE wants to restrict moving. That's something you HAVE to accept, even if no one here likes it.
At first, I really disliked Anemos due to its very slow and hard startup. Then the train happened and oh wow, did things change for me. I found the zone engaging, fun and I met many new friends which I still have to this day.
Fast-forward to Pagos…
Pagos is not fun in its current form, its actually down right mean and punishing. The last time I went in, I left and my hands were literally trembling in pain from trying to tank for all of the challenge logs. I have seen a total of two NMs and getting to those were very dangerous. I saw people begging me to rez them while I went by, but all I could do is console them as PLDs don't have rezzes and I ran out of P-tails. Every time I went in there, I found myself watching the clock, wondering how much longer I will need to be in there. That was it for me... once I felt that way, I knew it was over for me. Everything I have read here is further reinforcing my feelings that this is not the right content for me. My friends miss not being able to play with me but I am too low level and there too high. In fact, we cant play with any of each other as we are 22, 24, 28 and 30.
I was sooo hyped for Pagos after learning to love Anemos, now I'm crestfallen about it all.
I suppose I am just joining the self help group as I know they don't listen to us much anymore. I heard that we are considered noisy Americans that rant and complain about anything and everything in an incoherent manner. That may be the case but still... ignoring us is done so at great risk.
Friends, I've finally moved past denial, anger, bargaining, and depression. I've come to accept Pagos for what it is: brilliant content. My mind clouded by mortal foibles like insisting on having fun my way, I just couldn't see it before. However, after grinding the 700th mob, I finally emptied myself of all those things, of all the imperfect, broken things that I was, and achieved enlightenment. Accept Pagos into your hearts. It only wants to love you. Let it. It's for your own good.
Way too punishing. Pagos is not fun. Not rewarding and needs to be nerfed into the ground
I think SE is forgetting the golden rule they set for themselves.
"If it isn't fun, you're doing it wrong"
https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media...rvkirtnggr.jpg
I don't know about anyone else but grinding trash mobs mindlessly for hours at a time until I have to stop because my wrists physically hurt isn't my idea of fun.
A good hotfix would be...
> The spawn rate of elemental conflicts has been reduced
>> Exp is now rewarded for elemental conflict Fates
Then people will always do them when they pop, like any other Fate
All of Stormblood seems lackluster. Instead of swapping games, I think this game needs to swap development teams. The current people on staff seem to have fallen into a rut. We need some fresh ideas in house. Make Eorzea fun again.
I've enjoyed Pagos as its given me, an omni 70, something else to level. I don't have as much time as I once did to play, so doing an alt was a no. Any complaints have surely been listed but I've often always been fine with it until today. The mutation/adaptation idea is great, but I feel that the magia wheel recharge rate should be buffed for those moments where rng is actually being generous and you're treated to repeated mutations. When farming today we actually had to stun several of these due to just not having the ability to switch elements, and with it being based on rng/weather it shouldn't be a case where we're just outright forced to stop these chances of increased xp. But that's just how I feel on the scenario.
I'd be cool with this, and doubly so since this would raise the odds of people getting the mats for those potions to boost base mob exp by 3%. The last I looked those pots ran about 1mil each on my server. 1mil for a boost lasting an hour, or an hour and a half? That's currently a pass for me, even if I were still bothering with Pagos at this point.
Not worth it. It's not a game anymore.
The horrors of Pagos aside, I know a lot of people complain about wrist pain after long hours on the computer. This is generally because of bad wrist "posture." Try to position your keyboard and sit in a way that allows you to keep your hands extending straight from your forearm, rather than bent at some sort of angle. There are various sorts of simple devices that will encourage that position and that small change should eliminate most any wrist pain coming from computer usage.
Got another idea. Implement a rested bonus or similar catchup mechanic to help bridge the gap a bit between people who don't get much time to play and people who grind all day.
Today there was an argument in pagos involving many people when high lv players mowed down an NM fast despite calls for them to slow down a little so others can arrive. The high lv player's justification for not waiting 2 minutes was "we don't owe you anything."
So I think a little rested bonus like the main game has would help compensate players who only get a few hours daily to play. Their offline time can accrue some rested bonus.
Don't forget, we get this cool Potion of Harmony that ALC can craft now which requires mats that I have yet to fully figure out where they come from. Two of which I have found come from the Pagos lockboxes, which require you to obtain from the fates!
This is all backwards.
+3% elemental experience is pretty trivial anyway. It will save you about a minute and a half per hour if you spend the entire hour grinding with no downtime whatsoever. If this was something I could buy for about the same price as a boiled egg, I'd use it, but with two of the mats in short supply and thus egregiously overpriced for now, I simply don't see how it will ever be worth using the potions.
The challenge log already provides this. People who take weeks to get to 35 will get a larger challenge log contribution relative to people who grind it all out in a day. Especially now that it's grind or die, there's not even a debate over whether the challenge log is worth doing over the train.
Should've put in a vendor that sold these potions in exchange for the crystals.
I spent like 5 hours yesterday in pagos. Got 2 levels. It was %80 mob grinding and %20 fates that appeared while we were grinding. I don't think it is THAT bad, since SE wouldn't want everyone to be lv35 in a day. (I leveled from 23 to 25 btw).
But, and it is a huge BUT, it is not enjoyable in the slightest. We grinded mobs for 3 hours with a group almost non-stop. We got like 2/3 of a level. I really don't know or cannot understand HOW this is supposed to be fun, which is a video game's priority. There is no goal here. In Anemos, we killed mobs to spawn NM's at least, now they reduced their spawn rates whatever and we can't even do that efficiently. I mean what's the point of grinding mobs? I felt like i am hitting a dummy for 3 hours. There is no challenge, no feeling like you are doing something worthy, no change of scenery even for like 10 hours at least. You grind lv22 mob, after that lv23 mob is like 2 feet away. You are in the same spot, doing the same thing like 10 hours before you can even try +31 mobs, which you will still be doing the same thing.
I don't know how bunnies are useful. Which is a problem itself. They should have been more useful from the beginning.
Oh, and i unlocked the light *cough* grinding pot. I suspected this coming tbh. Since i am not expecting a revolutionary game element from SE from now on, and it says "monster you kill now gives light". Really? Really?! More MORE mob grinding?.. I mean you get used to it after 10 hours so why the f*ck not :D
And i don't buy this solo friendly b*llshit. If you try to solo this, it would take months to get to the point you are supposed to get, and you can't even get weapons because of zuzu fates and probably those crafting mats idk what they are for. So idk how people can get their weapons after like 2 years later if they wanna get them. We can still get zodiac - anima weapons because they were tied to the stuff already in the game etc. Since Eureka is its mini gameplay itself, idk even if they remove level caps like anemos has right now and nerf it hugely, i don't imagine people will be willing to do this in the future.
Also, i wanna say one last word while ending my post: Diadem 3.0.
There's always room for improvement.
Does the kettle even fill up with light without chains? I mean I know the place is pretty anti solo but I figured I'd see what can and can't be done.
There's a thread on Reddit today calling Pagos a failure.
It's got over 800 upvotes. Fingers crossed that SE is paying attention.
