lol no because I just updated overwatch 2.14 as we speak so no has nothing to do with my connection and I'd also like to how how you came to that conclusion when I was able to dl updates just fine before stormblood

I pull the plug on PS4 and usual system check up BUT no more "First Time Set Up" and the download resume from where I left.

I'm fuming right now. Already had to redownload this game in its entirety due to the download bug in early access.

Boot up the game today, it installs patch 5.03

Try to login and ONCE AGAIN I'll be sitting here for the next 5 hours waiting for the game to install on my PS4 again. I have wasted so much time not being able to play this game. And I can pretty much guarantee that Squeenix won't cough up so much as a dime to compensate those affected.

Hi i have the same problem last sunday my power electricity goes off and bummm (22.7patch) .But my real problem begin here when i lost my internet conection (Almost each 1hr) all my download progress is gone and need start again from 0%.My internet conection is bad so i cant download 22.7 gb/hr This really is a PAIN please help us T.T i lost all my hope T.T i really love this game Please SE can you fix this? PLEASE PLEASE.

So today's patch did nothing? Looks like the game experience is close to be over for us. We are downloading this all day long...

Yeah im worried about Shallot_Lilian's issue. See a few posts above. Seems like at least this one guy had the issue post-patch.

I can confirm that as of 10 minutes ago, this is not fixed. I unplugged my PS4 to test and it's downloading the "update" as we speak.

Welp, that didn't work for me. It looks like i might have to quit this game whether I want to or not because I just can't download this patch. I can download maybe 1gb or 2 in a few hours, but after that the timer always goes to unknown and it gets really slow. I don't think I could bear leaving my ps4 on for how many hours or days it will take me to download this as it makes my internet slow :(

- Database rebuild/ps4 safe mode trick doesn't work.
- Waiting for an update from a GM.
- Most people here could not play at all since last Friday - being gated outside of the fresh new game and it's hype and kept away from friends who could level to 70 already.

Yes i try that and nothing happen I also download 5 03 and have the same problem ..Ffxiv-H2017 06 06 000 001a

Wanted to add my 2 cents as well:

-Was in the middle of playing when the power to my PS$ went out
-Logged back in and attempted to play when I got the 22.7 Gig download
- the download was the same as everyone listed here but ended in .0001d instead of .0001a.

If this is going to happen everytime the power disconnects, it needs to be fixed, especially when you think about people who might have data caps on their internet. 22 gigs is no joke.

Edit: Also want to mention that I've had power outages while playing ARR/HW before and have not had to install this 22.7 gig patch. Leads me to believe its a stormsblood problem.

And i cant save the download progress for ex iwas around 5gb when the internet conection goes down and i lost all the download progress that is a PAIN please SE fix this

Can't even use the PS4 to play another game, as any power failure / freeze will impact FF's launcher anyways and doom your next login attempt (even if you already got rid of the DL beforehand). It happened to me.

I am downloading Stormblood again after power cut....22.7GB 700 mins not happy at all.

This is literally unacceptable. How do they not fix this issue in the emergency maintenance last night? I can't download 22gb every time I play or leave my PS4 in sleep mode!

Was really hoping to wake up this morning to find everyone relieved that they fixed it last night... :( My game has been fine since I did a clean install of the entire game, but no one has time for that, and I can't be doing that again anytime soon. So I'm still scared to turn the ps4 on.

I have the same problem, I had to download it once, 15 hours downloading, this was 2 days ago, yesterday I went back to spend decided to wait for the maintenance, the problem is that now I can download the new patch reaches 100% And does not advance, I've been waiting for an hour to finish. What I can do? I have to delete the whole game and re-download it?

I allready did it that twice and doesnt work too.

I bit the bullet and bought a UPS in order to address this issue myself. It was probably a good idea to pick one up regardless, so I guess I should thank SE? It doesn't come in till tomorrow though, so I'll have to keep my ps4 off just in case. I don't want to have to re-download this a fourth time...

Very disappointed they didn't fix it. I'm going to suggest everyone that can afford get a UPS or make a external backup in case this happens again.

Some ppl like me cant even download the patch because our conection is not good and Some time disconnect and we lost all our download progress...Come on SE please fix this we are losing playtime and we konw you will not refund us this (I dnt have problem with that) I just want play this game again.

I've done both, lol. I'm digging out an old external to format as a backup before I play my game again, and I've ordered a UPS. This feels like overkill, but I honestly can't afford to have to delete and reinstall the entire game again. It would take over a week on my DSL, and taking it to a faster connection is a 45 minute drive one-way. So, you know, two round-trips that adds up to like a LOT of wasted time. Regardless, as power outages are fairly common in my rural area over the summer, a UPS is a good idea for me to have.

It'll take a couple of days to arrive, so I'm going to be paranoid for awhile longer. What would be GREAT, is if they fixed it before my UPS even arrives. It's no secret that SE is having a very difficult time looking for what they fucked up on in the coding. An hour ago in Reddit an SE member replied and told me that they cannot make statements about a monthly refund right now and are still highly and actively investigating the issue and ask for our patience. Lol the same patience that flew the early access time very quickly.

Welp this is happening to me, had a random power flicker and now i have to download a entire 22 gb Patch? and SE has said nothing about this really? Gosh....i feel more and more SE doesnt really care much for the PS4 players. PC problems addressed immedietly PS4 " Whenever we get around to it"

The error just happened to me. Played early in the morning, logged out as normal and turned off the system. No power surges, no power outages. My sister tried to log in at around 12:20EST and there it was, the huge download of 22k megabytes and a download time of about 10 hours approximately. I am nervous, she is nervous and we do NOT want this to happen again. Is there anyone among you that might know how to prevent this from happening again before SE and the dev. team update and fix this?

Also, have any among you experienced any errors or troubles after re-downloading the huge 22-gig package? Any replies would be appreciated.

SE and dev. team, this expansion has been an utter nightmare when it comes to system infrastructure. Errors with the server that manages data movement for instances and the duty finder. Errors with reliable, constant connectivity. Previously before early access, errors with data corruption. And now an error or bug with the data of the game itself that forces a re-download of everything because reasons. Please look into this, as the system seems weak and flawed.

It's confirmed, the patch of 22G work, but I wait again for to connect, I'm the 1361th.
In this game, you spend more time waiting than playing.

I recieved a rather terse reply from NA Customer service this morning basically reminding me of the end user agreement & informing me that ALL subscription fees are non-refundable.

On my current experience: I'm down to needing another 8 Gb. I've been pausing it & resuming it everytime it finishes a file. On a lark, after it moved from .000h to .000i I stopped the d/l by clicking cancel, shut down FFXIV, went through normal power down of the PS4, held my breath and restarted. It came back up and resumed it's progress for me.

We should request 1 gil per byte downloaded in compensation in this case. ^^

I'm absolutely fuming. I have limited play time as it is. Pull your finger out and get it sorted SE.

Did you have to do a hard reset or anything of the sort? That's not cool if this is now happening without the system restore mode kicking in to trigger it.

Appear that this problem is not fixed yet. I have yet again hit with "first time set up" and 22.7 GB update...
If you have the files downloaded already, do PS4's system backup for now. This is the only fail-safe way to fix this problem for now...
