Honestly I like the face you've made its just the face paint over the scales and the limbal rings don't quite look right to me. Maybe change the limbal rings to green or blue or something so the eyes aren't essentially 3 colours. With the red face paint and dark blue skin as well there's a lot in terms of different colours going on there. It just clashes a little is all but the overall vibe of the character is good to me. You clearly really like it though, so does it really matter if others wouldn't make her the same way? I know you must have been unsure to begin with or you wouldn't have asked for feedback but you seem to have put a lot of time in to it to get it the way you like it.

For me, it's the odd eyes combined with the completely differently colored limbal rings. There's just too much going on there color-wise, especially since all three colors are in a similar range for their intensity - if you were to convert the picture to greyscale, they would all be close to the same color. It kind of makes my eye slide around trying to discern exactly what's going on with the colors. I don't like a lot of the odd-eyed characters that I see because many of the color combinations end up being distracting. The same kind of goes for yours, but not simply because she's odd-eyed. You actually picked colors that look alright together for that. The red limbal rings are what throws it off for me.

If you like your character, by all means keep her. That's all that matters. She's definitely unique, and whether or not other people like how she looks shouldn't affect whether or not you make your character look that way. ^^

Seems my Moonie wins by a landslide over Sunnie. xD I'll be switching to Au Ra, but my mooncat will make a return! I will look forward to seeing him again in the future, thanks for the input! :3

On a side note, seeing all of the face 2 males makes me wish I can make it work. Overall I am looking for something closer to face 1, but ideally a middle ground between the two of them would be perfect for harkening back to my RP character, which this guy is named after.

I think I settled on the general look with face 1, all except for skin colour (maybe a shade lighter than the depicted version below), still working on that. However, I am still looking longingly at face 2. Aside from the changeables like hair style and colour, I really wish I could switch face 2's horns onto face 1, and I wish the brow on face 2, at its softest, wasn't so harsh still.

ToppeHatte: both cute, seriously they even give the same vibe! It’s hard. I’d say go with the one that makes you feel more “yourself”.

Tachyon: I still prefer the first miqo’te you posted, so charming!

AzureZenorag13: violet+green > everything else. I wouldn’t match it with red limbal ring though, it covers the color behind which is the thing I like most XD

Kouren: I think the Au Ra pull off better the white look, maybe, and just maybe, try play with the gimbal ring using your fave colors, would say the purple or blu used in your miqo’te..

Penny: I say go Au Ra!
she looks awesome. Good color choice, the makeup and puppy eyes makes her look sweet , and the dark color gives a proud and mysterious feeling to the character ! The Miqote is not bad, but I've seen other looking like that. not a bad thing, but I personally prefer the Au Ra!

FallenArisen0990: I would say the first one, i really like the "all chocolate + caramel" look. I am a fan of brown hair and eyes cause I don't see much of that color in game, and in FFXIV there are so many different browns that you can really make a unique character using such a (in real life ) common color.
The second is also very nice, but my attention get caught by the first one for some reason! (also face wise)

I've been so conflicted lately. On one hand, I've just... always been a miqo'te. And I've just gotten used to thinking of my character as a miqo'te. But then I started playing around with the benchmark, and I like the Au Ra I designed.

Ohh, the lip colour actually looks red on that skin tone!

Looks great except for the eyeshadow imo. But I tend to think bright eyeshadow looks awful on all characters. The hair and skintone combo is really nice though.

I felt such resolve to turn into Au'ra too. O well, between my current and possible future I'll let people sway my opinion.

I've been trying to decide what to do as well. On the one hand, my character has basically looked the same ever since the FFXI launch, and it would be difficult to adjust to a new look. On the other hand, I truly hate the midlander hyur "princess" run, so changing race to get away from that seems a decent option. I think if I do change, I'd be more likely to go with Raen since my character's name could pass for Doman and there's evidence that there were Raen in Doma.

I'm hoping I'd eventually be able to add freckles to an Au Ra. ;)
