I find it kind of funny(=sad) how SE already warned us that the actuall execution of the transfer might take a few days but it actually takes less than 5 minutes. If they exprected so much more request then they are actually getting right now. (Well lemme rephrase: more request then those who are able to get through) why aren't they prepared for this.

They worried about step 2 when everyone's stuck at step 1. Guess it will be much better by tomorow but noone really want to be waiting in a queue. I fail to see why they didnt rent some additional servers for today to run the page.

It shouldn't be an unexpected situation. Since we all know what happened in Early Access and launch. We know that a lot of people joined a different server because of Character Creation Restriction. How could SE, once again, underestimate the numbers?

So as an apology for congestion issues, they give us congestion issues.

It's not me who should be "trying again", but the Server Transfer that should be working as expected.

everyone defends P2P games because you're supposed to be able to count on proper service and support. there hasn't been much of any of that with this game so far.

AND They aren't letting alot of us actually go to the server we want to go to, because of a mythical population cap that they have implemented because of server loads...instead of beefing specific servers, they opened more servers to force so many people to play without the people that got them to play in the first place in hopes of eventually being able to play together in a social game, the way it is supposed to be.....false hope that it was.

Just did two successful accounts back-to-back with almost no issue! THINGS ARE GETTING BETTER.

Grand opening? Sorry but server transfers have happened before, and this isn't grand opening. As a matter of fact these tranfers wouldn't be happening, if SE hadn't bungled up with 90k.

Secondly, you can be prepared. SE undoubtedly has data from the 90k issue, meaning they have data to work with on what to expect come transfer time and the chance to make contingencies. They did not.

Just finished mine. I think FF XI had a way easier world transfer system/set up.
At first I got error messages.

Then only one world to select. Then a big list.
Took me 15 min to figure it out, about the confirm button.

If you can pick a would, hit confirm next to it.(this is a big must) Then after that, you can pick the world you are on.
You can not pick it before confirming the world to go to first.
After that confirm that then select the yes button.

All I got to say it keep trying. It is annoying.

My problem is that I can select the transfer destination world, but it doesn't show the server I wish to transfer FROM. :(

Also the forums aren't showing the correct character for me either. SE plz halp. Save us from you.

I want to move my toon with a bunch of 50s to Excalibur, where I already have a placeholder from beta that I use to check in on friends, and it isnt on the list....if the account already has characters on a server thats pop locked, they should still be able to xfer toons there, because they have toons on the account there lol, it needs to be account pop locked, not specific toon locked...

Hitting F5 does work and i finally got my transfer done.

this the first p2p you started from launch of title? cause that's a response from someone who hasn't played anyother at launch. all games are as prepared as ever at launch (give or take a few.) but they all start off with issues when it comes to multiplayer. do you understand why? because of us spamming it like crazy until something breaks, we get in, or we give up! its human to do so, but its ignorant to think its completely the companies fault. like i said to the other two people grow up, stop bitching, and try again and ill add one more thing get some computer management classes cause your spouting shit way above your pay grade could comprehend. good day =)

We both predicted this would happen last night Maddox; I've been trying for hours to no avail. So frustrating and totally avoidable. I was just told by NA customer service (phone) that all NA legacy servers are now full EXCEPT Sargatanas. So let's pray that one doesn't fill up too.

You have to first pick a world to go to then confirm that world.
After that then you can pick the world your char is on.
I had trouble with that at first too.

Go figure the server I wanted is now full, bet Sargatanas ends up full before my transfer even goes through, well more like before the site even begins to function properly.

Saw this fiasco coming from a mile away. Honestly wish I had been wrong in predicting these issues. Would've been nice to have things go smoothly for once.

Full? bleh, canceling both of my accounts then, no point playing with just the two of us. Whens EQ Next come out?

sadly the only server i want to transfert to is ultros and we cant transfert to it because its fucking full....my whole guild is waiting on me to transfert.....i hope they will be unlock soon....

Does anybody know if there's a cooldown when you transfer a character before you can transfer it again ? Haven't seen any info on this.
For some reason I'd like to change my character name, but I'd like to avoid being stuck on another server for a couple of weeks/months in order to do so.

I believe the cooldown between transfers is 3 days

This your first p2p game from launch? Cause most games have quick intuitive paid transfer services from day one...not to mention they dont have a mechanism in place that separates friends and guilds so extremely to begin with.

Ok, so you're saying you are an expert when it comes to gaming servers. Answer me this then:

If they expected the right numbers but the servers couldn't support it, why adapt a "First Come First Serve" strategy? Why not make transfers out of one server at a time?

I'm trying to transfer off Ultros. My problem isn't choosing a server to transfer to, my characters aren't showing up, just some random lv50 PUG that doesn't actually belong to me.

its still complete bs if i wont be able to move my mule to excalibur as i goofed in b3 and transfered to the wrong server now have materia i cant use because i cant get my mule to the correct server

Out of curiosity has anyone been able to transfer to Hyperion, or know someone that was able too? Thanks
