Why are PC players being so stuck up to ps3 players?

I believe it's the whole mindset of the PC gaming master race. I've had parties with PS3 members, and at first I was surprised because I thought they'd get their own servers, much like with a few cross-over mmos(or dark souls. That's a better example actually). I see no difference in the two and don't understand the elitism that PC users love to rub in console gamers faces so much.

On a personal opinion level, I find using a keyboard for MMOs much more comfortable.

Except when I first played FF11 for the first time a few months ago. THAT WAS FUN.

It took my a few days to finally say screw it to the mouse camera controls and just use a keyboard.

If anyone is still wondering why PC players are being stuck up to PS3 players, they just need to read the previous 9 or so pages of this thread. That old tired PC vs Console argument that I'm sure we'll all still be having in 5/10/20 years. I play on both my PC and PS3 and love them both. The only think I'll do on my PC that I won't do on my PS3 is healing, because when it comes to healing, I live and die by mouse-over macros.

This is false. The controller doesn't select the loot window. You have to Open it yourself by pressing the select 2 times. Nice try tho.

You don't have performance issues on console because console games are deliberately crippled so that they don't have performance issues. Hence one of many reasons why console games ported to PC usually look archaic and crappy, and the reason why FFXIV, as pretty as it is, cuts a lot of corners graphically and could look much, much better. And I don't even know where to start as far any claim that a controller is more convenient for speed.

it comes from the days of FFXI, When FFXI came out the servers were really nice, JP an NA all played well together it was friendly no race hate no screaming in chat, nothing...
Then Consolers hit the servers, an 10,000 teenagers from NA started race hate towards the JP screaming filth an death threats day in day out. The JP Admin had no power over NA players an NA admins had no power over JP players... so it was a right cock up.. NA were so filth minded KKK ignorance an hate that the JP an much of EU banned them form groups. JP blacklisted pretty much all Americans from the big Power groups, an this just incensed the console's to even more hate towards the JP.

When in fact it was NA's fault to start with. To this day I hesitate to play with them because of their notorious hate towards JP players back then.. it actually made many of us leave XI because we couldn't stand the race hate every day.

Not all of them are. A good deal that I've encountered didn't really care. One scholar in particular actually left a primal fight I was in because I was on PS3. I think it's just a way for them to feel better about themselves in general, not really to do with someone's actual preference.

Controllers create more mistakes, less accurate targeting and camera speed, OBVIOUS performance limitations, and if you're not near a PC to use a voice chat program you're an even bigger liability.

Sorry, but there's more than enough reasons for any min/max team to exclude console players. Or just any team that wants to guarantee victory.

Spoken like a true PC fan that refuses to actually try. If you don't know where to begin it's because you have not actually experienced it. Not everyone is concerd about top notch pretty graphics, some people care about the game actually performing well. Which is does even on ps3.

PC elitists... more like weirdos.

Sure, console players can clear content. But if you think they can do so more effectively, or as effectively, as pc players overall, please state that here. State that the PS3 doesn't have performance issues compared to PCs, and that communication, control, and targetting are equivalent on PS3. I'll wait.
