No denying in that, im just saying that yes, we know the major game lag issues and non-responsiveness its common to all zones and its thanks to crappy server and client coding, but with our without the other issues, europe needs datacenters cause even those extra MS make the difference.

I can agree with you on that, one thread a person has made about responsiveness and aoe's hitting people when it shouldn't has been moved to the accepted bugs section. So maybe once that's been addressed it "hopefully" will make things better for some EU players for now, as i'm not sure if square will part with the money for EU servers till a bit down the road of 2.0's life when they are sure of a steady income.

I am inconsistently hit by AOE attacks after being outside the red circle, and I'm in Boston with a fiber (30mbps) internet connection! I'm not so sure latency is the only thing to blame here... maybe it's all those PS3 players...

And there lies a problem i don't know if i will subscribe. I do love the game but if these latancy issues aren't solved when the real raiding dungeons come out i am out of the game. It is annoying as hell even fighting the primals on normal let alone when i am 50 how it is on hardmode. So waiting further in the time line doesn't help because a lot of people has quit by then.

It's the way the game reports/updates your position, only 3 times per second (or every 333ms), which adds 333ms to whatever your latency is -- and just because you have a 30mbps data connection; doesn't mean you have a low latency/ping to the server. There's a difference.

lol I didn't notice this thread until now, was just posting about titan latency in the titan hard mode topic, and looked like some european people didn't have any problems about latency or they were fine with it.

Anyway yes I'm having big problems about the lag, like many of my friends, can't believe they keep opening NA servers without giving us an EU datacenter so we can go there and live better.

EU data centers would be nice, i bet titan hm is lovely with under 80ms -_-

a european datacenter would exclude us from the na dungeon finder pool.

a better solution would be to fix whatever is causing the delay, since the distance and the resulting ping should not be a problem ( i have zero lag in arcadia, an international server of the secret world for instance)

This is something we were asking for back in beta but got the big ignore. I agree that we need a European data center. I live in central Europe and have an extremely difficult time defeating bosses because I cannot avoid the aoe due to latency. It has become so frustrating that I don't even bother doing the dungeons at all.
