Yes^^ Phalanx does look better now and I think they increased the sound effect volume on it or something. Also for Luminious spire the weapon trail is bigger and they fixed the animation bug it had so that with a longsword now it really does "Imbues your blade with brilliance" as per description. Before it only worked on small swords.Quote:

Some look really awesome bigger others like are uh that's odd. As a THM/Con I like the bigger effects. Before the effects as a whole looked much to watered down. however, whats good for some isn't good for all and some of the effects on the non magical roles of the game may look overdone. Then again this is Final Fantasy we are playing, The namesake just screams overdone. That apart from the great storyline's are what make the games as good as they are. It's that over the topness that makes a person enjoy each and every spell in one of their more single player games. Think about it..The huge swords, the magic, the impossible summons, that scene in X where the party all rode down the cables to stop the wedding the list go's on and on from 1-13 all way over the top but also so very awesome.
As a whole I like the changes and we know the battle system is a work in progress. I for one can't wait to see whats up coming with the new system, effects, and jobs. -

Spell effects looks good. But some weapon skills, I can't see animation of Semian Trash behind effects! Please, make them smaller.
