Have you considered that the reason she's so critical is because she loves the game so much? If she didn't care, she wouldn't be so invested in criticizing it. She would've just moved on. Instead, and she said it too, that being critical is a way to push developers to improve and ensure FFXIV continue to be competitive in the market.

Where does this idea come from that criticism means you hate the game

The two closest groups to “hating” 14 are people who’ve never played it and people who left without comment because they grew sick of whatever it was

Well that's how Dawntrail has reached nearly Stormblood numbers in player population. The feedback from people who used to love the game and has fallen out of love should be important.

Don't twist my words, I said "genuinely want to like the game", that literally means you do not like the game but you are criticizing it because you want it to change and be good again.
You don't "Want to like" if you already like the game, you just like the game then.

Dunno why people care so much about what a random nobody woman in front of a camera has to say about a video game.

Do people really go “oh zepla said something that’s going to be my new opinion” rather than the other way around?

I don’t care that zepla is cringey or people only watch Lucy pyre because she leans into gooner bait, they are saying points I agree with and they have a much bigger following than I do

I’m not running to them to have them tell me what my opinion is, im pointing to them and going “see I’m not alone in this opinion”

meanwhile most of the people who think zepla is based right now didn't care about her one way or another before ew.

I am of two minds here, and are (despite what some may tell you) not mutually exclusive.

- I've been playing this game for over a decade by this point. Comfort has replaced excitement in a lot of cases for me, and I doubt the game will ever WOW me again like HW or ShB did, but I'm ok with that. I'm not pursuing infinite satisfaction and forever growing excitement with the game. That sounds miserable, and I pity anyone expecting to get the same highs they used to after so many years.

- That said... I've never been so disinterested by an MSQ patch, or so deflated about side content. I'm really excited about Crescent (I like a good grind, no shame) but not only is it gonna be behind by two months, after that, they're not gonna update it for 8 months, because they have to make a Deep Dungeon, or so they said. What about Variant Dungeons? Is Hildi gonna be just one quest again? And the least I hear about MSQ, the better. I'd rather go searching for fake Scions that turn out to be sylphs than deal with whatever's going on with fake Sphene.

I've mentioned a few times that I was worried about the team. No matter how much good will or how much energy you may have, a day only has 24 hrs, a week only has 7 days, and a month only has 4 weeks. People need to sleep/rest, get time off, and spend time with loved ones... yet for some reason, CSIII is apparently working on multiple games at the same time. If I was ever to fault Yoshi-P for anything, this is it. When you and your team are working on 3 - 5 different things, all of them will end up deluded and lesser versions of what they could be, all while running the risk of also burning out.

Can't SE grow the team? Can't a different team be formed for those extra games? Yoshida could still produce those games, but it would mean CSIII isn't stretched thin between so many things.

You don’t have to care/be friends/share fanclubs/blood ties with a person to agree with their opinion right here and now if it is elaborated enough. How is it a weird concept to people? People are not black/white labels which they need to keep sticking to. They are complex, different and changing with life around them. Zepla is not a mythical idol. She is a public speaker which currently, at this very moment, resonates with some people, quite many I would say. That’s all it is to it. Her opinion does not become invalid cause of her previous history.

Why even watch Content Creators, They shift with the times.

Guarantee if the public opinion was positive they'd be shilling right now, Its a job for them they have to do what the community wants. Community vast sentiment right now is go to WoW, That's where all the popular female ones went, Lucy Pyre & Zepla are there RIGHT AWAY.

Their opinion is even less than the people who defend YoshiP blindly STILL
