Burst - Any Plans?

how much you wanna bet that all the job weapons will have enhances for the jobs 15 min ability's

I'm not on anybodies bandwagon, I don't use Burst unless I want to see some nice special effects because in most "situations" thats all its good for.

I do agree with what someone said way back though BLM doesn't need a buff so Burst probably shouldn't get one, they could make it more useful though, make it apply a DoT effect or paralysis when used in a combo.

Hmmmmm, thats actually a good Idea, like a shock DoT or something, that can at least add some extra damage, that would be a good buff to it imo.

I would like see some screenshots of your Burst damage, please and thank you. I'm of the opinion that, for a quarter-hour, it's underwhelming, but if you can present some screenshots to prove otherwise I'd be happy to rescind that statement.

I think you will find you are correct, but lets be honest does BLM really need more damage output ?

If anything I would suggest they remove Thundaga and replace it with a single target Blizzaga?? spell for damage dealing.

Right now we have no Ice damage spells which makes me sad :(

The problem with burst is when executed properly its exactly the same as thundaga. Its a good spell, its powerful, but its so frikken boring. Why do we need a version of the same spell with a 15 min timer. Thats why i suggested before to add a party buff that would benefit close range DD players to it. Keep the damage, the damage is fine, but add a buff, at least then we wont have 2 of the same spell.

I personally think BLM is too powerful as is, but I don't feel that's really the discussion. A quarter-hour should be worthy of it's recast and I don't think Burst is. Maybe it's not because across the board BLM is too powerful and if they scaled it back, then Burst would shine. They haven't given the impression they would though, so I'd like to see it adjusted accordingly or give BLM a new ability all together worthy of it's recast.

I will post screenshots JUST to make YOU happy lol.. I really don't need to prove anything to you guys, if you had gear like mine you would know the damage capabilities, but apparently you don't and yes I guess Im coming off a lil strong in this post but seriously when did this become lets all go against Blitz cause he thinks Burst is good.

Post screenshots of your damage.. If I have prove you all wrong, I wanna see your numbers as well then..

All you guys are going off is Burst is 15 mins.. it should do soooo much damage, or be readjusted.. Its balanced for what we have atm..

I'm assuming your character based on how you are acting. How else do you figure out what kind of person someone is then by what they say and do? Considering you've stopped insulting others, I guess I got my way.

And again, this thread isn't about whether or not Burst is useful or strong. Would you care to address the original topic of if blm should have a different 15 minute, one that is more of an "in a pinch" ability and not another DD spell, perchance?

Blitz It's not that they are ganging up on you because you think Burst is good its because you say stuff like "if you had gear like mine" lol

I believe removing Burst in favour of another ability. Or changing it all together would be the best course of action.

I already do damage and Burst just feels like a waste of time considering the output it gives.
A more useful party-beneficial ability could work better, or a potent DoT/Debuff/Enfeeble would also be great.

But all we know is, out of the thousands of BLMs. Synyster is the only one who can output decent damage with his superior setup, oh that's right, once every fifteen minutes, which in the grand scheme of things; is useless.
