People just need to remember that outside of coop activities, you should play the game however you like and not give a single damn about what people think. Maybe if they start paying your monthly bill, they could have say.

This cannot be stressed enough because no I am not paying your sub, but you are not paying mine either, so purposefully wasting my time is more of a jerk move than 3-7 other ppl kicking you out of their party for whatever you think you are entitled to, or more often, not to do.
I war a Hyur Midlander and started playing a lala as a joke with an old fc and it just stuck with me. Even with all the repeated jokes, and negative viewpoints people pick on for some reason.
There are gonna be people like that for all of the races. We got jokes on neckbearded men playing catgirls, people who clearly have active baddragon accounts playing Hrothgar, masochists playing Female Elezen with that Shaggy run cycle.
Everyone is gonna be making those comments (sometimes playfully, other times not) especially considering the game is one big social experience. But never and I repeat NEVER let that you change from doing something you enjoy in it.
I've also switched back to a Catboi at times but Lalas are just so much fun to play as I always come back since it's the best. Not gonna let whatever people say dissuade me from that choice.
How can you actually "hate" a fictional race in a virtual fantasy world?
Absolutely. I know it's a much more personal game then others since we're interacting so much and progressing our characters but people do need to take a step back and realize that it's just a game. There's no crazy hidden agenda Yoshi-P is doing over Male Viera, people shouldn't be having identity crisis over the ranged job they play because of the Meta, and people enforcing too much of the real world in game because they wear their hearts on their sleeves.
I mean should we really be injecting real world thoughts into this game when ancient cave murals picture a higher being doing the FFXIV equivalent of an Inazuma kick on another?
Tell the critics to take a flying leap! Lalafell are awesome and appeal to many individuals. The little folk are my favorite race!
The people who "get" lalafell become part of a large family. You may think I'm kidding but it's true. You see a lalafell and you recognize a kindred soul.
Don't let anyone browbeat you to play what you don't want to play. Proudly post a screenshot in the Show your Lalafell thread.
You'll be welcomed into the lalafell community!
