I think though, If it were that great, everyone would be eating proper food in dungeons even, every time. as a majority of them go for 5% stats w/ a bonus of smaller stats.
Reality is, most don't. They ignore those 5% food stats cause it's 'meh 5%'
They also ignore melding their gear which if u add up is near 5% too. (V is cheap as hell now) Cause 'meh small stats'
Everyday actions show how highly ppl think of that amount of % sadly.
The 10% is single target so woe would be the (majority) players who are the 'unchosen'. >,>
10% with 20 sec that's about 8 hits in so with that 10% increase you'll be lucky if u can get 1 whopping crit in (for the crit card)
Well yeah, kind of figured that was understood, I mean already taught myself to toss out a cures instead of a medica if only a couple people get hit and tend to just use aoe healing when there's constant party wide or stacking damage. Really dont see it being much use in other situations but meh its still better than the original effect which I rarely even used. >.<
Welp, I hope people are happy that the Balance Card has been made meh, Ive seen groups happily using AST and SCH combos or AST and WHM combos, or WHM and SCH combos or WHM and WHM or SCH and SCH despite Balance having a 20% increase to damage, but whatever.
Addendum: Isnt 10% on single target and 5% on AoE for Balance what it used to be back when AST was initially terrible?
Yes, in faceroll content. And double SCH was already much more difficult in the current easymode Extremes than any other combination. You are basing your balance perception off of content intended (and for the most part easily) killed in a few tries at most, if not one-shot.
SMN was a lot of fun whilst it lasted in PvP, at least.
Now it's seemingly going to be dubious in both PvE and PvP.
I'm just gonna repost what I put in the healer subforums re: The Balance change:
Basically, the original buff was smaller than what people probably thought it was but still a little too high for the contributions if WHM and SCH to match. Now, at least vis-a-vis to overall DPS/group DPS buffs, all three healers are pretty close in numbers and shouldn't be as discriminated against on the value of "brings more DPS" alone.
I'd hazard that WHM brings better throughput and sustain, but AST brings better utility even taking into account the Balance nerf. (New Spear is nice, and by lowering Balance's value the devs have indirectly raised the value if the other cards as well.) SCHs I think could use slightly lower mana costs on Adlo and Succor to aid their sustain a bit, and Fey Union still seems a little underwhelming, but their oGCD heal efficiency and Chain Strategem still leaves them in the progression game IMO.
Seeing how the first 2 savage floors have been cleared multiple times around the globe already, and number 3 probably following soon, this seems like a rather short content update anyway, so dont worry about the loot. You quite obviously dont need it.
