Then just lock everyone in to 720p at 30 FPS with all sliders set to minimum whether you have a standard PS4, PS4 Pro, a 5 year old laptop, or a $4,000 dream machine.

I can see it now... the next Live Letter:
"We are also pleased to announce a high-resolution texture pack! There is a free option that offers upgrades for ARR map textures only, and a $5/mo 'Premium' version offering HD textures for everything in the game. We are also introducing a new currency, Texture Nuts, that allow you to unlock 4K textures for one map, for one day. Free versions grant one TN per day, while the premium version offers two TNs per day. Look forward to it!"
You said the same thing a while ago and I replied with the same message, seems you are just ignorant and just post this text to troll?
Once again:
On regular PS4 FF XV loads in 40 seconds.
On PC FF XV loads in under 10 seconds.
I stress both GPU/CPU at 100% for hours end during benchmark runs and it doesn't overheat. Even when I remove my water cooling (of course removing overclocks to factory settings) my system does not overheat and 60 degrees C is max I can get it with a modified fan curve.
Even on default fan curve it goes to about 70-75 degrees C which is still far from overheating or causing damage.
And keep in mind this is a specialised stress test designed to put every little thing on your GPU to 100% usage / power req.
A game will never cause this amount of stress
Both PS4 & PS4 PRO are more then capable as well, the system hardly uses it's full power for XIV + there is already a 'non hd' option available on them so they can just put an extra option for the new textures.
And side note texture resolution will require more Vram basically so if you have enough Vram left you won't even notice anything. Apart from everything looking much better of course.
