They're not mindless clones unless they're all the same! But I think there's a certain kind of mindset out there that plays like this is a single-player game ("You don't pay my subscription!" lol) and is very predictable and boring. Is that necessarily bad? No, not at all, but it's definitely boring and uninspired.
Everyone has their own fashion-sense, I personally abhor anything overly saturated. My current glamour is made up 4 different sets for the 5 major slots, while maintaining a theme, all anchored by a unifying item (coat). Everything else is consistent with the design of the coat, in color and/or materials, so things look like they belong, but really don't (exception to coat/shoes which belong to same set). Weapon and accessories also follow this rule, so the end product is, to me, entirely cohesive (pushed in the direction of the Near East, thanks to the pants) without being samey, like people who dye all of their gear 1 color.
This all came about because the chest bands did not dye, and I had to work around that, it worked out pretty well imo.

4 words... Female Miqo'te Bikini Tanks...
Day 1 glamour release that was all you saw... And it still continues to this day (not that I'm complaining, mind you... >.>).
Well, if I could be wearing some badass tank armor with a diamond dragoon spear while playing my healing classes I would. I love the tank armors.
We could probably have 1,000,000 more combinations if they lifted all the class/race/gender restrictions buuuuuuut...
People want to be "unique"
I wish there were more "generic" glamour options. That way I'd have more selling options than just the Uraeus coat. Currently most of the other glamour options, that used to sell well, are currently given out in PotD like candy.
