Monk Macros with Proper Rotation!

When someone does provide a actual video showing a different detail on the data, I will show them high regard and take all their information into strong accord.

If you do not use those abilities but rely solely on your base rotation, you need to practice Monk a little more. Lastly, Macros are a good idea when it comes to content like fate farming, solo quests, Low Level Dungeons with only a few buttons.....again do I really have to list the casual content it can be used for. Under this Kaurie, I do not recommend or will I ever recommend relying solely on Macros. Players need to learn to play the game with and without Macros if they choose to use macros, if the dont use Macros.....then nothing is lost. Macros are something to use as a tool when it comes to content that does not hinder other players or negate top dps as needed....thats all!

I do not need to count them, you already did. You said there are 18. By comparison, my SMN has 4 12 key hotbars completely full (48), and I use ~30 of them frequently. By comparison, 18 seems laughably small. I've also leveled my MNK via PotD and obtained all skills that way and it was a joy to have such an empty hotbar.

I cannot critique your macros, unfortunately, as you're not listing what they actually are or do.
I use macros for one purpose: targeting. I use the ground target macro for things like Shadowflare, and the <2> or <tt> for things like Eye for an Eye and Virus.
EDIT: I also have a macro to party chat who I am raising, so that healers don't attempt to raise the same player.

So, you just spam 1 button, rather than swapping buttons? That isn't so bad. It will be a minor DPS loss, and I wouldn't advise everyone to do it, but I don't see a huge issue with it either. I've done something similar on my Bard in 2.x and was frequently the top DPS using it. The main reason it worked well for Bard, though, was the immediate use of Bloodletter procs.

I wouldn't say this is 'competitive' as you're pretty much guaranteed to output lower DPS, but the output is small enough that this could be a trade off of DPS output for convenience. It's definitely a bad idea for raids etc., but as you keep saying, you're talking about casual content.

Whether or not you consider delay significant is your opinion. The delay exists and I would rather do without it, because I can. I've learned to play the game without macros and I'm completely fine using 40 buttons for my battle actions. I don't see any point in limiting myself on purpose since I've tried macros for a lot of things in the past and I know how they work. There's already 2 videos in this thread displaying the specific problem I have with macros, one using proper rotation presenting a 10% dps loss, and yours using a subpar rotation presenting a 2% dps loss. Both videos present the same problem, in-built delays caused by macroed abilities not queueing. I don't see how my own testing would add anything to that.

Again, if you don't consider the delay significant, that's your opinion. You've proven it yourself that it does indeed exist. I don't particularly care about your stance on things as long as you don't spread misinformation.

alright i grab some messy df videos xD to show you the diffrence in rotation is not static and is not that hard that you really makes it easier to press 10x times the same button instant of 1,2,3.....
you should never do more than 1 buff skill between and you should do them always after a 2,5 sec recast skill not before or it gives you a delay.
i am ok with that you like to use your own way but please do not teach other ppl bad gameplay style, this isnt that fair to newbie ppl and please do not say you are using the perfect rotation with macros, you are using definitely NOT the best rotation.
-> lvl 60 fight
-> lvl 50 fight
-> mess xD
-> my rotation without potion
