SE Please add jump and swiming

Incidentally, why not only give the chocobo the ability to jump? Or jump with it's wings spreaded, giving it a little delay before it hits the ground.

This game doesn't need jumping. Go play another MMO if you miss it so much.

Pre 2.0 I can understand not having it in, though 2.0 should be designed around jumping since it's already been confirmed, and if it's designed around jumping, there is no reason 2.0 should launch without it.

QFT. This is exactly the time we should be talking about this. The dev team is redesigning the game from the ground up, with a new graphics engine. It is imperative that they know what their new needs are and that the game will be able to handle them.

Given the negative reviews that cited lack of a jump feature, if they make that mistake a second time, it will be sad and laughable. FFXIV cannot compete in a modern MMO market without methods of movement and transportation that are considered to be a standard.

Not to be rude but it doesn't matter what you want as much as it doesn't matter what I want. It's a play space for a massive amount of people. You might be playing the wrong genre, like alot of these anti-jumpers. Go play an offline game tailored to your tastes.

Thing is, Yoshi P said in an interview that he wanted to add jumping not only for the sake of jumping but to also affect content. Unless that form of content is added at the launch of 2.0, I doubt jumping will be added. Now this version of the game definitely doesn't have it. They have X and Y, but no Z. My guess is that they will add Z in 2.0

if they implement it right, i think it'll be a great.

if we ever do get jump and or swim, it wont be till 2.0 end of discussion -.-

The current designed has no place for it, but maybe when 2.0 comes out, they will build it with both in mind.

I honestly don't want it though, I don't see the need for them, WoW had both, but there honestly was not need for them in it, they had some quests that you swam in, but they where the same as land quests, just.....swimming -.-

We dont need different colour gear. We dont need customisation options. We dont need half the classes in this game. We don't need chocobos (it's just like walking, but on chocobo). We dont need different themed zones (who needs variation anyway?).

There's a lot of things we don't "need", but they all make the game better nonetheless.

I support the introduction of a free jump and swimming feature in FFXIV as well.

Who needs running? Every MMO has one and you can get from point A to point B just fine by walking.
