If a person insists upon playing in a party as he pleases without trying to accommodate the party and do the role in the party, they should go back to solo or duo or whatever, so they won't get in the way of a party or ruin it for everyone in the party.
Also, people who want to be in a party should KNOW, or at least be willing to LEARN to play as a team player. Period.
Also, I wish I could "like" this opinion 10 times. 1 like is not enough.

Back in FFXI, I used to run into a party where tank refused to Provoke. Mages kept dying because the only person with Provoke wouldn't provoke whatsoever. He didn't want to get hit and risk dying, he said. He insisted upon not provoking and ignored whatever reason and party mechanism we tried so hard to explain.
So we decided that BLM and melee DD should stop pulling hate and just let the monster stay on the guy, and WHM must stop curing UNLESS the tank provokes. We told him if he wants a Cure he must Provoke. He asked why WHM is not curing him, we have the WHM reply "Because I don't want to get hit. I get hit when I cure you."
And we cured him only when he used Provoke, seriously. After dying a few times and losing a large amount of EXP, he learnt to tank properly and started to use Provoke on regular basis. -

Now based primarily around parties? I have honestly no clue what you are talking about. With the exception of "end-game" quests and dungeons that require four people you really don't NEED to have a huge party. My friend and I duo together all the time and have never had a problem.
