Why is Myth gear as good as Allagan gear, or even better?

the point is simple .. its all about difficulty .. the hardest difficulty should reward the best rewards. If you cant understand that then you simply lack common sense.

Doing solo daily quests or any number of dungeons that can be completed in level 49 gear to obtain level 90 gear which in alot of instances is the best in slot just simply makes no sense in an MMORPG

RPG's SINCE THE START with paper and dice meant getting ur character stronger to defeat stronger mobs to MAKE YOUR CHARACTER STRONGER
In a MMORPG you should have to try and achieve something gaining top level gear by doing things your character could do at ilvl 49 isnt achieving its holding out your hand and having the game place top gear in your hand for free because you dont want to have to work for it plain and simple

Anyone that says well i shouldnt HAVE to raid just so i can get best gear i should be able to play the game any way i want and get the same stuff anyone else gets ...... no that doesnt make any sense get the silver spoon out of your mouth.

Applying this logic, these tokens/myth tomes/whatevers, would only drop from T5? T1-4 are a joke, even compared to primals.

No, the poster was right and probably just being playful.

No need to get so defensive.

Camps:

1. Most difficult/highest level content should drop highest level items. I.E. getting best loot from low level dungeons doesn't make sense.
2. There isn't enough content and/or because of loot/dungeon lockouts we need myth tokens to fill the gaps due to bad rng in coil.
3. Everyone who participates in the game/pays a sub should have access to the best gear in game.

Am I missing anyone?

You can toss me in the camp where, prior to 2.1, there was content considered between final dungeons (AK/WP) and Coil. I guess maybe the primals? But I personally found them quite easy (save titan, but even then).

I'm really confused as to where everyone is saying aK/WP are considered low level dungeons

For those interested:
Low Level Content to me: FATE/Levehest (and ifrit)
Mid Level Content: Dungeons/HM Primals (except ifrit. Cuz. Lol ifrit)
High Level Content: Coil

That's all there was. Now with 2.1 out, I'd still keep it the same except I'd put EM primals at high level content (though I bet it'll move down to mid level really), and throw CT as HLC.

All allagan items should be ilevel95. They should be better than mythology but mythology should remain as an alternative for those that can't do Coil (no static group) or have terrible luck with the rng drops.
