Castrum grind might stop me from subbing

Idk I got 3 full DL sets from CM in a week and don't really mind it too much, what I mind is that there isn't much to do after.

If you think CM is a problem... Just wait till you hit that myth tome cap and do the math realizing how long it will take before you can get even a single set of ilev 90.

That's about 5 months of playing 30-50 hours a week (more if DPS and not good enough to get in static groups). May as well just quit now or suck it up.

SE should have known that people would bum-rush the content and it's their bad for not giving enough stuff to do at the end....

The amount of endgame content at launch was not a secret, and no one was forced to level up so fast.

Wouldn't have been a problem if SE didn't remove AK speed runs and implemented a small fix to the DF where you can't reque in the dungeon after you finished it.

You never have to spam castrum. Ever. I only ever do AK one or twice a day, which is enough to cap myth every week and pull in 640 phil tomes. Thats 1200 myth and 2560 phil per month playing very casually. More than enough time to reach full darklight and some af2 for Crystal Tower patch.

A more serious player could easily double that rate. I don't see the problem.

Get a legendary in WoW and tell me how easy it was to get. Also try to beat a heroic raid boss with no gear from normal mode raids or the justice/valor gear or the dungeon gear. Also you probably don't know what any of this means. So stop using WoW as a hate target for your uneducated insults.

I'm confused... surely the primary goal/focus of this world is not to simply get the best possible equipment in existence? I thought we had a world full of other things to do besides get the best possible equipment?

And even if you had the best possible, short of standing around with others who now wear the identical equipment to you, what else is there for you to do? Does having the best unlock a bunch of fun and exciting content you could not access otherwise?

I think by focusing on a tiny aspect of the game (get tomes to get super douper gear) you are missing out on the main focus of this game: Explore, Adventure, Make Friends, have fun.

Perhaps the problem simply is that for whatever reason, you've focused on an aspect of the game that was not meant to be the focal point. And as long as you do that, you may not be enjoying the game as it was meant to be.

I'm not sure why people in this thread don't seem to be getting that the next patch and pretty much every patch thereafter will add more options for obtaining the resources and gear you desire.
