Is it me or did melee dps get much harder after this update...feels like its play ranged or die
Haven't really noticed a difference. Still ruining lives on MNK/NIN/DRG and RPR to a lesser degree. Mch has become slightly easier to not get rolled over on which is nice. Can't say I see a huge difference in BRD yet. It's still amazing.
In what? Cause FL is still melee dominated due to damage reductions.
The only change I've noticed after the update is a humongous wave of DRKs swarming all over the place like locusts. Did they get a huge buff I'm not aware of?
Maybe people just realized hp currency attack + damage taken - is pretty powerful. xD
Melee DPS are still by far the most OP broken anti-fun jobs in PvP that are unkillable because they are tankier than tanks while also doing more damage than ranged DPS, can escape from everything, while being impossible to escape from. Your wins or losses are based on how many melee DPS you have and the quality of those players. No other job matters or has significant impact enough on the game's outcome than melee DPS because of how broken they are. All five of them.

I've not noticed much of a difference in CC personally except that I tend to survive against SAM and DRG more, but I chalked it up to me finally learning to avoid them when they're obviously LBing. Monk got buffed though, and NIN had their speed nerfed a bit, other than that I dunno if there's been noticeable change in things. BLM got squishier, RDM got a slight nerf, and BRD can jog slightly faster while casting powerful shot.
I guess the line of sight changes have made it harder to run for cover and recover, which is probably a bigger struggle for melee since they must run further?
