Mch ponderings
Full disclaimer ive never played mch a day in my life. But sounds like they lack identity, like bard outdoes them right now.
Would it be more interesting as the Sam/blm of physical ranged melee?
Think sniper class, you throw out turret for constant light fire or what have you. But you stand baxk hard casting big d**k dps. "Hold breath" skill for increased crit chance.
Camouflage skill for reduced threat gen. Headshot high potency skill
Grenade aoe ect.
Just musing ideas

Ranged dps not melee, mobile can't edit

MCH has a strong identity and distinctive playstyle, and it doesn't lack for flavour (Literally reassembling, changing magazines or adding attachments to your gun on the fly); especially since the introduction of the heat gauge system. I'd honestly say MCH is one of the few classes who's new gauge added to the class rather than felt tacked on.
The problem is a lack of proper testing and clear vision of where they want MCH to be. It plays like it should be the SAM or BLM of the ranged DPS having less utility and more complex skill mechanics, but actually is the lowest performing DPS class in the game because it has a few party utility skills.

The term identity has been thrown around about it, but what people really mean by that isn't that it doesn't have it's own style, but that the devs literally need to embrace that style. As it stands it seems the devs have no idea what the identity of the class is, and it seems they aren't doing proper testing with it either.
