Raise the minimum allowable job level in Abyssea from 30 to 70+

I also remember people crying about the game always requiring groups to accomplish anything. That they wished they could just go out whenever they could to solo what they needed. They got what they wanted.

They always had that option with BST and later with BLU.
Thats why i got them both that time to 75, becouse i always leveled those 2 when i had no ppl to play with.
There are times to get good groups and do alot, and times where you do play alone.
Some days i could make 5-6 Cop parts with more fights, then maybe i had no CoP for 1-2Months, then seeing a AShout trying and getting another 5-6parts.
And thats what i loved at this game.

I don't blame Abyssea for capping my merits since it's always been capped even before Abyssea. Even capping merits, I have yet to run out of things to do in Abyssea.

I do like how I can change my merits whenever I want. Goodbye Int merits, Hello Agi merits.

BST really? BST was terrible back then. So much so that RDM/BST was better. And BLU wasn't even released until soooo much later in the game that it's not even a factor in this argument.

That's funny because I remember being left behind in CoP by my static because I couldn't play 18hours a day. I wasn't alone. I didn't have an LS for the first 2 years I played because I wasn't 75. When I finally got 75 and a shell people avoided me like the plague when I asked for help for CoP. It wasn't like I just logged on and asked for help. I did several weeks of events with them before I asked. I only finished CoP because I shouted for who needed it. It took me 7days of shouting at different times of the day. On the last day it took me 4hours to get 6people because the majority of people already finished CoP. I came to somehow become a sack in a Sky LS whose members said I sucked the leader's dick for w.legs when I lotted nothing of any value the entire year I was in the LS. I became a sack to an HNM LS whose members called me a slut and I sucked the leaders dick for my relic. It wasn't the events I led. Nor was it my work I put in to leading. No. I was avoided because of it.

I have never felt any form of comradery the 8years I played. It was mostly filled with dealing with a lot of assholes, greedy and selfish people. I can call perhaps two people friends after these 8years. Where is the growing together part? Where is the forging you're talking about?

This isn't a rant. I'm showing you that not everyone's journey in FFXI was so rosy and perfect.

Wow...you must really like this game after sticking with it while putting up wit that mess. I love this game more for the friendships I've forged then acquiring stuff..if i had similar experiences as urself i prolly wouldve quit.

No, I'd simply not cap my merits, or not level a new job. Allowing massive xp gain has given me more things to do, since I can equip new jobs from scratch when I'm bored enough.


No, when my exp is capped, I go equip my jobs, clearly something you don't seem to do. Or work on another Empyrean weapon. I'm guessing you were trying to be so secretive about your character is because you have no notable gear. Probably one of those people wearing full aurore, teal, or perle.

Sigh, again you missunderstand the point, i do not talk about gears becouse i get my gears while leveling up, so i do not need to do that afterwards, when i was level 50 i got my Joyeuse, when my BLM got access to AF i first soloed all the BLM AFs with rdm and then advanced leveling BLM to equip part by part.
I dont need to get exp before gear, i do that together. While i leveld BLM for Dynamis i went as RDM and got RDM AF2 parts and for all my other Jobs.
So even now some AF2 wait on 1-2Jobs to finaly be the level to wear them.

But yes, im a gear collector, if there has been a gear and it was storageable i wanted it, i did everything to get it, but while leveling, thats why my storage npc is full with gears and i dont need to care when i go into a Party, i always have a gear for any level at hand.
I collected nearlly everything and always had space problems XD
Organs, Coins, Nyzul weapons, all kind of Rare and ex items.
When i found a rare ex item i just keept it, even i didnt know what it is for and didnt go check on web, sooner or later a quest comes where i need that. Sometimes i had to go check only for the rare ex items to make sure to use them if possible, to make space in my MH.
And yes i got some gears i missed out, but not becouse i was lazy, becouse the list was horrible long. So i never got my W-legs, i was 3 times first place to get them in 3 different ls, but everytime bad luck, several runs no drop and i have a complicated work shedule, sometimes i need to leave the games for months, and when i get back i lost my points, last time on Sky i kinda had 1400 points, each run gave 30 points.
Last time i was in Limbus i had first place on Homam legs, i wanted them badly but again no luck for several runs.
the ls disbanded before it droped. So my collection still miss this two parts.
Maybe i will do it with some friends later, but no hurry, im grinder.
3 times my dynamis ls disbanded.
I did all kind of KSNM and BCNM for gil, we rulled on ISNM Puks and Slimes, thats where we tryed to get the main gil for upgrading weapons. 400k was a pice back then, i dont remember the name, some sort of ore crafters needed badly and has been used for the ToAU gears.
Well i did nearly anything in this game and always tryed to get better armors and weapons beside leveling.

I do love this game. I have gotten hurt a lot in this game, but I've never seen them as anything but something to overcome. I've always taken what people said about me as a reveal of their own insecurities. In fact, they were because of their insecurities as I have confronted them. In the end, I've helped them along their insecurities. If things just got too much for me to handle, I take breaks. I travel a lot too, so along with breaks and traveling it kept me grounded.

wow.... sorry to hear that this was your experiance, I think I would have quit too if it was that way for me. If your experience is still this way, I would think about changing servers, maybe see if the two you mentioned would go with you.

you did not just get Joyeuse at 50... someone would have to give it to you basicly. Took me 2 years to get Joyeuse -.- and I was lv75 DNC by the time I got it.
