We've been asking for work to be done on those I.D. tags for years. It never occurred to me for some reason to just increase the supply of them or to refresh them faster, but don't be surprised if Cam comes here and explains again the complexities of working on the I.D. tag situation, which frankly will come across, as usual, as "we rather watch paint dry" so yeah... at least it's not that big of a deal as it was years ago, which is why it'll never be worked on. Sadly.

Well in fairness, had people "did the content correctly" then mythics might have served the purpose they were designed for. Unfortunately for SE, even after several years they were so out of touch with their customers that they never imagined that the playerbase would not be happily grinding the mythic quest line for years to come, "correctly" as they imagined.
And in fairness to that fairness, SE chose to do mostly nothing whatsoever and instead embracing this over done weapon quest line because super rare items are such a big plus in MMOs to keep the kids around and paying for years to come. When they see people have largely stopped trying to farm mythics, and by largely I mean like nearly no one is bothering anymore, then and only then will they do something serious about it, and that's just the moment they say, "let's do something about this" then there's that 6-12 month wait because of that priorities list of theirs. In some cases it takes years, as we all unfortunately know all too well.
And then I started to babble from this point sooo HB tags inc
And that's assuming that they can get over their "well these people already did mythics, so unfair if we make them easy to obtain now" guilt. That's a tough call, but I would choose to not get over it. Simply stop with the false belief that it would end the world if people were allowed to physically solo their mythics with their ever increasing item level, and let them solo it already, on their time. Still gonna take them forever, not gonna cause server stress and the end times to start early. More storage didn't end the world. /yell and expanded /yell didn't end the world. Nin tools didn't end the world for oils/powders. The excuse of server stress and causing the world to end is becoming a tiresome excuse to not do something. I much prefer to just be told "we don't feel like paying someone to work on that" but apparently to this day I guess we still like to pretend everyone here isn't a FFXI lifer and still needs to be PR'd and our hands held and told "maybe someday, little Timmy" rather than just "NO!" so I can be like, ok got it, my life can move on now with no false hopes for the future.
I guess I long for a more personal relationship with the people that I've "been around" for ten years, rather than realizing someday that I was just an account number to them and it was just business. I remember the time when businesses strived for personal relationships with customers to keep them as repeat customers. Big business skips that noise in exchange for assurances the masses will keep them afloat. And if they don't then the sell out route is always a safe fall back plan. Sad but true for the game industry. The worst part? I speak in regards to the NA SE. I imagine the JP SE HQ is a little more connected with their customers than they are here. That's just the vibes I get for JP, regardless of knowing that the JP customers are less than satisfied about SE JP public relations. But at least they get Vanafest still...
