An Appeal from BLMs and GEOs

If you have no idea how these jobs work, you should not even bother spending time trying to make custom gear for them, especially considering the effort they require. So it would be less of an insult if you let us know ahead of time to not bother with upgrading AF3 before you give us armor that literally serves no purpose and is a waste of development time.

Hey now, the new Blm AF body (that converts damage dealt to MP) is a good peice to swap in when you're low on MP, can generate MP with it pretty efficiently and continuing to spam.

The rest of the AF, and all of the Relic, however, were a waste of Dev time because lolhagondes.

Geo got some alright peices, though some were oddly and annoyingly redundant.

Explaining your issues will go miles further than insulting their knowledge of a job they created and providing no real feedback.

Well Blm is pretty self explanatory, lack of enough "magic damage +" and "magic attack" to make it competitive with hagondes makes it a failure by and large in his (and most people's books) but AF body does have a use as I said.

I don't share his sentiment for Geo, I thought it got some alright stuff, but I was really annoyed at the gloves having +1 refresh, not because that's a bad thing, but because Geo is one of the few jobs that I already idle in something decent, (the AF gloves with the -10% luopan damage and PDT) if they'd have but +1 refresh on someone another mage's gloves it would've let me replace Serpentes Hands there, or a hat would let me replace my my Wivre-Hairpin or Nefer Khat+Heka's idle, which is annoying to idle in because of the lack of defensive stats.

TL;DR: Blm AF/Relic sucks because Hagondes Exists, Geo Glove Refresh would've been better elsewhere so people can idle in more iLevel gear without giving up their refresh.

What the new BLM gear lacks in MAB it makes up for in MAcc, for a fight like AA some Magic Acc can improve your DMG more than the MAB would if you are resisting enough I'm sure, and at higher difficulty levels I'm sure resisting becomes more common.

I don't think that Macc is enough to save it on content they need the accuracy for. Blm shines in Skirmish and WKR, by being able to let the lion's share of their Macc come from their staff and just piling on Matk.

Anywhere they have to strip off Matk for a lot of Macc, most likely, they just won't be going to those events, realistically.

The problem with that argument however is that there is 0 reason to bring blm to any of those events where it would even get a chance to be resisted.

I have seen BLM taken to fights rather than RNGs, they just take a GEO too so that MAcc can be used to avoid as many resists.

Well on my server the last time I have seen blm shouted for was when voidwatch reigned supreme as the only important event.

Then you missed the Skirmish rush.

I admit it isn't shouted for when people do AAs, but I have seen it taken for it, you just have to know people and/or be known for not being a bad BLM and ask to go when people shout for RNG and it is possible.

I do want to point out that I do think BLM's gear should be better than Hagondes or at least comparable, and am not happy with the sets, but the overall feedback toward the sets was generally blank besides saying they are just bad, the end.
