FFXI would be a great movie . . . If Americans had nothing to do with it lmfao. And it would have to be all CG no bad actors please . . .

Americans make some very good movies, and part of the reason we do that is we don't see ourselves as the only talent in the world. We go global and recruit the best talent out here and dont' get bogged down in meaningless differences like what country you were born in. Some of our very best actors and actresses come from other countries for example, and that's why so many of our films are awesome and so many of the actors and actresses living in California are foreign-born. Tim Curry, Anthony Hopkins...ect

So you suggesting Americans ruin films just doesn't line up with the facts.

Square would benefit greatly if they are looking to branch out into the movie business by resorting to similiar methods, because no offense to Square - but their movies suck and could use some american influence. Their games are good, but not their movies.

Ben Foster would make an excellent cloud. George Clooney...not so much. I don't think I've ever seen him do a single role i thought was good. He is boring actor who only gets roles cause women like the way he looks. As far as Jim Carrey and him playing as Sephiroth... sounds like a demented nightmare to me so no thanks. That's so scary it's not even funny, and I would never go see such a movie lol

I'm having a hard time visualing a good actor for Sephiroth. Ben Knightly perhaps, if they could make him young enough looking for the part. No one plays an insane bad guy as good as him. No one.

I think actors and their agents choose movies that ultimately belong to the actor's choice whether to play in them or not, and that defines their personal career. But they don't represent American film making as a whole.

Video games rarely do well when made into movies.. and if they do well its not because of storyline

look at resident evil.. it has a horrible storyline.. but people don't go for that..

they just like the explosions and fight scenes.. and who can hate on smashing zombies >:U

Much like Tomb Raider - terrible story line but who doesn't want to watch Angelina Joli run around in hot-pants shotting up egyptian gods? I mean come on... even most of the ladies on this forum would agree to that I am sure.

Anyway back on topic - I actually enjoyed Advent Children - The copy I had was in Japanese and did not have subtitles so I had no idea what it was about - however I still thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

Apart from that - yeah Video Games made into moves usually reak and make the video game look bad. (Tomb Raider being the exception of course due to the above reason).

Just as I recognize Square's ability to churn out excellent video games, people need to give their anti-americanism a rest and appreciate that Holywood can put out some really good movies - and both industries could lean a thing or two from the other.

Oh, no don't get me wrong I'm a fan of American movies, being that I'm from America: Scorsese, Coppola, Coen brothers, 2 of the 4 listed aren't from America. Or I could be wrong they could all be born in America, not really looking up wiki.
