Call me what you will, but why? I did not say anything to you about your knowledge or anything. I dunno how you feel you can tell me what my life revolves around. I actually only play FFXI casual, meaning I play about 2-3 hours in the early mornings when my two young daughter wake up (age 3 & 2). Then I might log on after 10pm. when they go to sleep & my wife is asleep, cause spending time with my family is #1 on my list. So SE being down does not affect me that much at all really, all I am saying is how a business works & thinks.

Now 4 years ago Ontario went through an ice storm that froze and blew up a lot of our power generators. We had to sit and wait 5 days in middle of December with no hydro. The power companies got power restored by borrowing power from USA. The whole time the power was down local companies rented generator's or had back-up power to keep them going. Now even though we had limited power through all this I still went shopping, went to work & was even able to get my hair cut. Elderly & young children died cause of the lack of heat but that did not stop companies from trying to resume everyday functions.

But on another note i for one do know how large of an impact Japan has on Canada. It is as close to zero as you could imagine. We only do 2.03% of our trading with them & roughly 52,000 people work for Toyota here.

Now you do your research and tell me your numbers before you start blasting people about facts you know nothing about.

My loved are safe but still. . . . You would be surprised how many Japanese even in this situation think just like us here. My family also owns 2 business's there and haven't shut them down. So i don't know if you would consider that selfish or w/e. But they need to live to. So on and so fourth.

The ONLY Japanese who would think like that are the ones who have no family in the affected areas. Same applies to the insensitive jerks who think like night. Stop worrying about the business state of a company that only provides you with a videogame. You're not a shareholder and chances are you're not directly benefitting from them being up. Deal with it, Shut up and put SOME thought into what people have to deal with rather then "goddamn it why isnt ffxi back up!! konami is!!"

I'm so sorry to hear this Chiibi I really do hope and will pray for there safe return. I too have people still missing and its dishearting being so far away and not being able to do anything. All I can do is keep everyone in my prayers and hope for the best.

Wrong, Last time I will say this. get you facts straight. No one was "ordered" to conserve power, they were asked. SE chose to do this. Konami did not, they turned their servers down for 1 day & spent the second day doing their scheduled maintenance. It is everyone's discretion whether they want to conserve power or not.
