Can't preorder Seekers, Music Box sold out

Greetings,

The price point of $19.99 that some users were seeing for the FFXI: Ultimate Collection Seekers Edition was not a limited run promotion, or a reduced price discount for a limited time, but simply a pricing error that was corrected as soon as it was found. While a handful of users were able to order at this price, it was not intended and has been corrected to its normal price of $39.99. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

As for users that have been receiving their bonus item codes when pre-ordering from our online store, this was also an error on our part.
We are still currently discussing how to best follow-up on the situation and will update as soon as we have more information.

The correct price should have been $19.99. This company keeps telling us that they are short staffed and under-budgeted every time anyone discusses improvements to the game. Charging $39.99 for a game that doesn't get proper support / updates is a ballsy move in and of itself. Never mind the fact that the game is ten years old or the fact that you still charge the full subscription price every month. You're pretty much just gouging customers at that price.

most expansions were 30-40 dollars when they came out. it was only recent years that they bundled everything up into a nice 19 dollar bundle (even less when found on sale here or there)

The correct price should have been $19.99.

If you don't think it's worth $40, then don't pay $40; it's that simple. If nothing else, the price will eventually drop, as can be seen by the current price of Ultimate Collection Abyssea Edition.

Seriously, your decision whether or not you actually pay $40 for this will speak your opinion far louder than posting gripes here.

Actually, not buying the expansion and keeping silent (or anything else) tells the producers nearly nothing. Was it because of the price? Was it the product quality? Is FFXI a dying game not worth investing any more money in? Do they just really hate Geomancers and Rune Fencers? Is it a protest against the evils of colonialism and in favor of native rights, even when the natives are mentally handicapped lizardpeople? Who knows? "Vote with your wallet AND NOTHING ELSE" has always been an absolutely terrible way of getting what you want, because strangely enough, corporations are not psychic.

What every "don't buy it and shut up" post like yours mean are the same thing: "I don't care about YOUR needs, but I want the forum to cater to my desire not to see any point of view not my own. I feel I can demand this because I consider myself more important than you". And the correct response is always the same: you are not the forum's only user worth considering, other peoples' opinions matter, and if you don't enjoy reading it, then don't.

I hope you realize that, if the OP does pay the full $40 anyway (or already did), he'll have invalidated not only his own argument but also your argument that complaints in these forums are even worth it for S-E to listen to.

wrong, adolin price is 29.99. since you're posting= you already have FFXI.
the "update old ffxi dev team" is "short staffed" but old ffxi is 10$ only (when bought with adolin and you get bonus item)
