Temporary Suspension of the Services Due to an Earthquake

If the rolling power outages are continuing till at least 6th April as stated earlier in this forum do SE have any plans to move the Servers? I know its selfish but since the servers are down we cant suspend our accounts or anthing if the servers remaining down after the end of April, when the may billing period starts

If that occurs Silvermane, I'm positive they'll extend the amount of time the game will be free.

Edit: Unless you mean the servers remaining down the entire time until the end of April. If that's the case, you won't be billed regardless...as the servers will be down.

I doubt they'll be moving the servers, and you definitely shouldn't worry about any payment concerns. SE hasn't given us any reason to suspect an unfair billing since the game has been up, and I don't think any MMO provider would risk the wave of lawsuits that would likely follow something like that.

The merger wont happen till May when they preform the update that was supposed to happen about this week. They will not bill for a service in which you can not you for that would be illegal.

Actually I'm pretty sure they removed the merger from the update because of this, as well as moving it to May. The merger will likely happen in the next update after that.

Okay, this is my disclaimer before you read this post: This can be taken as very insensitive, and rude, but it is just something I find very interesting. And that this is not intended to be a post about me not caring about the Japanese people, again it is just kind of interesting thing to think about.

In 30days before the 9.0 earthquake, Japan experienced 48 earthquakes ranging from 3.5 to the 9.0. They also had in January a Volcano erupt. I find this interesting because, how did they not know that the big one that hit them was coming? I find this very hard to believe that not one siesmoligost in there country happened to not notice this pattern. I do understand that natural disasters are very unpredictable, but at least a slight thought that this could possibly happen. And please before you go all flame-tactular on this post please think about it for a moment, you might see where I am confused how they failed too see this was coming.

What pattern? The US has had 54 3.0+ earthquakes in the past 7 days alone. Now that counts the whole US, but also only over 1/4 of the time, so it seems like it'd be a fairly normal rate. How many earthquakes a month does Japan normally have?

That would be a good reply if it wasn't for the fact the US is like 30X the size of Japan. So stating the fact the US experienced these they could be spread acrossed the whole country, while Japans may have been acrossed the whole country, the country is only the size of California. And to the question about how many they have normally I do not know. And for the fact you did not see the pattern shows me you do not understand seismology, not being rude just stating a fact.

Even if they had known (impossible to be certain), what could they have done? There wouldn't/isn't a way of determining where the earthquake would hit. Where would they evacuate to? Relatively impossible (and silly) to evacuate an entire country.

I am not arguing with that, it is a very stupid to assume they would know the EXACT location where the earthquake would hit at. But I do not think it would be stupid to have them take precautions before hand, I.E. turning of the reactors, or having a ready to go plan for when it did happen instead of taking 2 1/2 days to respond to the disaster.
