I'm just going to mirror what other have said and I do have it on the PS/2, XBOX and PC. The xbox locks up under load. There is a post around here from the somewhere that basically says the dev team knows about it but it is difficult to fix. The lock up happened so much in campaign, besieged, old school dynamis and any zerg I ever tried to do I eventually started using a laptop with HDMI out and a x-box controller to play on the big screen from the comfy couch.

BTW the x-box controller work fine on the PC version except the triggers do not work. I got over this in about an hour.

Your best bet in finding a copy of the 360 version is to buy USED version of either the 2008 version or ultimate collection. This gets you the install data for the main four expansions. After you get that, buy the digital PC version from Amazon and activate it to create your account. This will allow you to play on 360 without paying TOO much.

If you play on 360 a lot, it will contribute to your 360 getting the red ring of death, and the game isn't exactly cheaper for the 360, and a PC that costs as much as a 360, will run the game better then the 360. Might as well just buy a PC for like $300, a 360 or ps2/3 controller to use with it, and a copy of the game for the PC and use that instead. It will give you better graphics and run smoother and you won't have to worry about DCing and losing everything while doing campaign, besieged, voidwatch, etc. None of that content might affect you now, but I assure you, in the future it will. You also know you will be able to get every CS in the game on this new PC, unlike a ps2/3 or a 360. There's many CS's in the game that just plan don't work on these systems. You should really think about all this before you buy a 360 copy of the game.

I never had issues with the cs either on the xbox and I did use it for a long time. I don't think I played the PS2 enough to know (was always the backup connection)

When I played on 360 for several years, the only issue I ever had was that it would crash right at the end of every besieged.

On a side note, there used to be drivers available for the 360 controller on PC that allow you to use the triggers correctly. they were at http://www.katch.ne.jp/~morii/driver/x360wc/index.html but they seem to have been taken down for some reason. Glad I kept copies.

I mean you should have a computer?
A duo core and a intel hd 3000 can run xi like its nothing.
XI is not that demanding, at all.
Hell, I ran XI on my windows tablet not that long ago.

I've never heard anything good from Xbox XIers.
Never had problems with PS2 and started using PC and never looked back.

*Steam usually has really good deals.
I think i got the newest pack for like 15 bucks?
Plus you can download it a plethora of times on different computers n such.

I prefer using the 360 version of the game as I'm a 360 gamer, but it was hard to get a hold of, particularly as I'm in the UK, I originally bought the 2007 edition as Amazon had a second hand copy available (so I was missing Wings of the Goddess) and then by luck I found WoTG on eBay and won the bid.

You'll find the 360 version hard to get a hold of, but your best bet is to keep an eye on eBay. Alternatively, it doesn't require a high spec computer to run then game and you can buy it off of Steam with all expansions for fairly cheap. Sure you have to wait a while for it to download and even longer for it to update. I used that as a solution when I was missing WoTG...and still use it as a solution because the 360 crashes during Beseiged and Voidwatch.

Though, gamepad vs keyboard (you can use a keyboard on a 360 anyway and a gamepad on Windows), I actually prefer the gamepad and naysayers may say that it's slower, yet because I'm comfortable on a gamepad and I am still able to speedily go through my macros, I'm a lot more efficient in using it.
